 Life Goes On(Pt5)

Evelyn ran blindly through the trees and underbrush. It snagged her clothes, low branches swung in her face. Her arm was bleeding from a thorn bush she stumbled into. Her lungs burned for air as she kept running. The muscles in her legs screamed in pain to stop. She was unsuccessful in finding a place to hide. The woods were just too dark to see. She pulled up short and leaned against a large tree, the bark biting into her back. Evelyn held her breath to listen. 'Was he following her? How far away is he? I have a good head start, he can’t find me. I can slow down a bit now.'

The woods were quite around her, even the night animals were quite. ‘Probably cause I scared them away with all the noise I made.’ She though. Waiting a few more minutes to catch her breath, she pushed away from the tree, going to the right making hast in her steps, but not running. Evelyn was stopped dead in her tracks as she ran right into something hard. Her scream caught in her throat when she realized it was Joe. Her mind racing, she spun around to run, but the firm grip on her arm stopped her.

Joe yanked her back against his body and leered down at her. “You’re not going anywhere.” Then wrapped his arms around her waist.

Evelyn began to fight back, slamming her fists down on his chest.

Joe snagged one and twisted it behind her back. “Fight all you want, it won’t change anything.” he told her in a silky smooth voice.

“Please don’t hurt me.” Evelyn began to sob.

Joe released his hold and she stumbled back. “I’m not…not yet anyway.” he added and stepped toward her.

Evelyn turned to run again. She was only a few steps away when Joe slammed into her from behind. She hit the ground hard on her stomach and Joe turned her over. She stopped struggling as Joe pinned her arms above her head. Tears of fright streamed down her face. Her body stiffened when Joe ran a finger down her throat to her heaving breast, pinching her nipple between his fingers.

    “Please…don’t….”

“Sshh….” Joe placed a finger over her lips and leaned closer to her.

Evelyn froze when he kissed her. His lips barely touching hers several times before he spoke again. Once again she noted the change, even as her mind raced to find a way to get away from him.

“I want to give you something.” Joe told her, then nipped at her lips. His hand roamed down her side.

Evelyn felt him shift his weight from her, but her hands remained firmly in his grasp. He tugged at her jeans until they were off. Evelyn closed her eyes. The tears began to flow again. ‘He’s going to rape me.’ she though. ‘I should fight him to keep this from happening. But what good would it do, he’s stronger than I am.’ Evelyn braced herself for what was about to happen and prayed that it would be quick. She opened her eyes and stared up at him as he moved between her parted legs. The head of his hard cock barely penetrating her.

The scream that rent the stillness of the night, startled Joe out of his haze. He looked down at the woman beneath him. Her face was one of terror in his yellowish gazed one. It struck him that she had seen the vampire in him and he realized what he was about to do to her. The deep growl rumbled form his chest and echoed throughout the trees as he scrambled away from her.

Evelyn was breathing heavily when he left. She was afraid to move at first, fear that he might come back if she did. Opening her eyes, slowly she glanced around in the darkness and didn’t see him. She finally sat up and searched for her pants and pulled them on. Running her fingers through the tangled mess of her hair.

    “Evelyn.”

She spun around at his voice, he moved closer to where she could see him.

    “Stay away from me.”

    “It’s alright.”

Her fear turned to anger. “Alright! I find that hard to believe after you chase me through the woods and almost rape me.”

“I’m sorry…I don’t know what got into me.”

“Don’t come any closer Joe.” He ignored her warning and pulled her into his arms.

“I’m not going to hurt you. Stop fighting me.”

She pushed on his chest and Joe relented and let her go. Evelyn brushed past him and started running. She squealed when Joe grabbed her.

    “That’s the wrong way.”

    “Let go….of me.” Evelyn hissed.

“No…I’m going to take you back to your car... hold on.” His words were softer, almost a whisper. He looked upward to the tops of the trees, with a little push they flew up.

Evelyn gasped and clang to his neck, looking down at the ground below her, then the trees as they sped by. “Oh my god…what are you?”

Joe didn’t respond to her question as he descended to land beside her car, then released her. Evelyn stood staring at him in disbelief.

“I really am sorry for frightening you.” Joe told her and ran his knuckles down her cheek. “You are so beautiful in the moonlight Evelyn.”

Evelyn could clearly see his eyes now. The yellowish hue to them puzzled her even more. And his voice was still different. She glanced down to his parted lips and saw the tips of long teeth. She gasped and backed away.

“I’m sorry. Please forgive me.” Joe said again and in a blur he was gone.

Evelyn began to tremble uncontrollably. She fumbled with the handle on the car door and slid into the seat. She made sure the doors were locked. Starting the car she kept telling herself on the drive home that she wouldn’t break down until she was safely in her house with those doors locked. She prayed that Joe didn’t follow her.

Little did she know that Joe was indeed, following her.
