"I could swim in that," Alex said, leaning over the giant tub.
"Shoot, I could swim in that," Carrie replied.
"Why would someone need a bathtub that big?"
"It'd probably be good to stretch out and relax in," Carrie suggested.
"A lot of people could relax in there."
"Come on," Carrie laughed. "Let's see what else we can find."
"I think the movie theater was my favorite so far," Alex said as they walked into the hall.
"I don't know," Carrie shook her head. "Her studio was pretty nice."
"Do you have a studio in your home?"
"No, but I don't write like Kelly does, so there's really no need."
"Why not?"
"Why not what?"
"Why don't you write?"
"I'm just more of a singer," Carrie shrugged.
"Kelly's a singer," Alex pointed out. "And she's really good too."
"That she is," Carrie agreed as they walked into a small room that was primarily just shelves holding all of Kelly's awards with her platinum albums hanging on the walls.
"Wow," Alex awed. "That's a lot of trophies."
"I'd say," Carrie nodded, smiling as she walked past the two Grammys.
"Which one do you think is her favorite?"
"Um, look here," Carrie said, picking her up and placing her on her hip. "See this one?"
"It's just a poster."
"It's one of her ACAP awards," Carrie corrected.
"What's it for?"
"Do you know her song 'Because of You'?"
"Yea, it's sad."
"Yea," Carrie nodded. "Well, you see, the thing is some people thought it was too sad, and they didn't want her to release it."
"But it's really pretty too," Alex argued.
"I know," Carrie assured her. "And after a lot of hard work, Kelly finally managed to let them release it. And this award right here, this is an award for song of the year from the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers."
"What's that mean?"
"That means, that out of all the songs written in the entire year, "Because of You" was the best one."
"She sure showed those people that didn't like it."
"Yea, she did," Carrie agreed, smiling at the award that was hanging on the wall.
"I bet she was happy."
"I'm sure she was," Carrie replied. "Wanna see what else we can find?"
"Yea, let's go," Alex nodded.
Carrie put her back down, holding her hand as they came across another room, this one much larger than the last, but also completely packed with objects.
"Wow," Alex beamed. "Toys."
"Yea," Carrie nodded. "This must be her fan room."
"What's a fan room?" Alex asked, picking up one of the teddy bears and hugging it tightly.
"It's a room where an artist keeps all their gifts that their fans give them."
"Why would a fan give a singer a gift?"
"Well, when someone is a really big fan of a singer, and they really appreciate their music and their voice, they want to thank the singer for sharing it with them."
Alex frowned, placing the bear back on the shelf.
"What's wrong?" Carrie asked gently.
"Nothing," she replied, looking around the room, a sadness in her eyes.
"Alex," Carrie urged, kneeling down to where she was eye level with her. "What's wrong?"
"Well...I like Kelly's music, and I mean, I hear her sing all the time, and I love her voice."
"It's kinda hard not to," Carrie nodded with a smile.
"But, I never gave her a gift," Alex argued. "What if she thinks I don't appreciate her?"
"Aw, sweetie, she knows you appreciate her," Carrie replied.
"But I want to get her a gift."
"Ok, well, what do you want to get her?"
"I don't have any money," Alex shook her head, her big green eyes falling to the floor.
"I think we can figure out something," Carrie smiled kindly. "How about we go find her, and see about that ice cream, huh?"
"Yea," Alex nodded, taking her hand once more, allowing her to guide her out of the room.
