Chapter Seven: Absolutely Adorable

Sirius finally stopped speaking and looked at his friends nervously.  For the past half-hour, he had been explaining everything to Remus and Lily.  

"Gods, Sirius, I'm so sorry," Lily finally said as she stood up and made her way over to her friend.  She hugged Sirius tightly and then pressed a gentle kiss on his forehead.  "I wish you had told us sooner.  We all could have helped you."

"I know," Sirius murmured.  He started to feel sick again, but then immediately felt better when James' arms wrapped around him tightly.

Remus sighed.  "Sirius, I am sorry, too.  I can't believe you had to go through all of that, and-"

"It's not a big deal," Sirius said quietly.

"I disagree," Remus replied.  He sensed that Sirius wanted to change the subject, so he glanced around the apartment and spoke again.  "I see Sirius has changed your decorations around some, James."

James snickered.  "More than some," he said, winking at his boyfriend.

Sirius smirked, glad that the subject had changed to something lighter.  "He didn't have any posters of rock stars!  I had to do something."<

"Now we can all rest easy because every time I look at the television, Jimmy Page is watching me," James said, motioning to the poster on the wall behind the television.

Sirius grinned and snuggled up closer to his boyfriend.

Sirius nodded his head.  "I'm definitely eating more than I was before.  I'm not eating a normal amount at each meal, but I am least eating again.  There are still some foods that make me feel really sick, though."

"Are there any side effects to the potion?" Remus asked curiously.

"It makes me really tired sometimes," Sirius replied.  "Other than that, I haven't noticed anything."

Remus nodded.  "You look tired right now," he said standing.  "Why don't you go take a nap?  We'll see you later this week, I'm sure."

Sirius smiled gratefully and said good-byes to both Lily and Remus.  After they were gone, he leaned his head against James' chest and closed his eyes tightly.  

James pulled Sirius closer to him and gently kissed his beautiful boyfriend.  Minutes later, Sirius was sound asleep, soon to be followed by James.

(Several weeks later.)

James unlocked the door and entered his apartment.  He quietly closed the door, having noticed that Sirius was sleeping soundly on the sofa.  

James walked over to his boyfriend and pushed several strands of hair out of Sirius' face.

"Hmm?" Sirius mumbled as he opened his eyes.  "You're home."

"Obviously," James replied, grinninnbspnbsp;"How are you doing?  Did you eat lunch today?  I tried to get a longer lunch break at work to come and see you, but I was swamped today."

Sirius sat up and smiled.  "I atnd Ind I didn't even take the potion," he replied.

James joined Sirius on the couch and hugged his boyfriend tightly.  "And you felt okay afterwards?"

"MmmHmm," Sirius replied.  "Perfectly fine.  And guess what came this morning?"

"What?" James asked, pulling away from Sirius.

Sirius reached over James and grabbed several letters off of the table.  "Three job offers."

James took the pieces of parchment from Sirius' hands and quickly read them over.  "That's fantastic, Siri!"

Sirius nodded.  "I suppose."

"Aren't you happy?"

"Yes," Sirius said.  "It's just that…well, I know that it's because of Dumbledore that I'm getting those letters," he said as he pointed to the letters in James' hand.

James tossed the letters on the table and kissed Sirius' lips.  "Nonsense.  I'm sure he helped some, but everyone knows how wonderful you are and how stupid, cruel, and pathetic your fucking family is!  Of course people want you to work for them."

Sirius looked at James for a moment and then smiled.  "I don't deserve you," he mumbled.  

"I think it's the other way around.  So, when will you start working?"

"Trying to rid of me?" Sirius asked, amused.

"Not at all," James replied.  "I just know that you've been getting bored sitting around all day long."

Sirius no. &n.  "I have to pick which job I want first.  Although, Madam Pomfrey says I can't start working for another month, anyway.  She wants me to rest some more.  I think I'm going to go insane, James!  The lady is crazy!"

James laughed.  "Maybe we can go on a trip somewhere."

Sirius' eyes lit up, and then he shook his head.  "She'd never allow it."

"What if we go somewhere that's nice and relaxing?" James suggested.  "An exotic island, maybe?"

"Sounds fabulous," Sirius replied.  "But, what if-"

"Excellent," James interrupted.  "We're going then."

"Can you get time off of work?" Sirius asked skeptically.

"There's something else I need, as well," Sirius remarked with shining eyes.

"What?" James asked.  "If you need me to go out and get something, I-"

Sirius rolled his eyes and passionately kissed his boyfriend.  When the kiss ended, Sirius smirked.  "I'm referring to you, James."

James' eyes widened.  

"Make love to me," Sirius practically ordered as he leaned back against the sofa and pulled James down on top of him.

James pressed his lips against Sirius', and the two kissed for severanutenutes, finally pausing for air.  Sirius stared at James as his lover slowly kissed Sirius' neck and eventually unbuttoned Sirius' shirt.  

Sirius groaned as he felt his boyfriend's mouth all over his chest.

"You're so beautiful," James murmured as he started placing small kisses on Sirius' body.

Sirius smiled and grabbed a handful of James' unruly hair.  "So are you," he whispered.

(The following morning.)

"Do you think everything is okay?" Lily asked worriedly.  "They're not answering the door!"

Remus sighed and tried knocking again.  "Maybe they're still asleep."

"It's nearly noon!" Lily exclaimed as she unlocked the door with her wand.

"Lil, you can't just barge in on them, and-"

Remus stopped talking when his wife opened the door.  Both froze when they saw Sirius and James sound asleep in each other's arms on the sofa with a blanket wrapped around them.

"I think they're okay," Remus said, grinning.  "We should leave them alone."

"I agree," Lily whispered.  "They're absolutely adorable together.  It's a good thing we set them up."

Remus laughed quietly and followed his wife out of the room.

As soon as the couple was gone, James opened his eyes and kissed Sirius' forehead.  

"Good morning," Sirius said as he yawned.  "So, we're adorable, huh?"

"Of course we are," James replied.  He looked at Sirius thoughtfully for several moments.

"James?  Everything okay?"

"More than okay," James replied.  "I was just thinking about how much I love you, Siri."

"And I love you," Sirius replied as he kissed his lover.
