Ok this is it! the last chapter!!! i know it hasn't been very smutty but i'm working on three one shot stories, all of which should be strong NC17 by the time i've finished! thank you to everyone who's been reading and reviewing, i appreciate them all!!
dedicated as usual to my sweet pixie karin who always helps me with the plot bunnies for my stories!!!
It took a week and a half before Ville would allow Bam to speak to him about what happened. They finally spoke as Ville was on his way to bed, he found himself being pulled into Bam's room and pushed forward so that Bam was between him and the door.
"What do you want?" Ville demanded.
"I just wanted to talk to you about what happened the other week. We need to sort it out and we can't if you keep ignoring me."
"I don't want to talk to you." Ville said stubbornly.
"Fine. I'll just talk to you instead then. I'm sorry for what I did, I know it was a shitty thing to do, I just wasn't ready to tell my friends about us and I didn't know what to say."
"Bullshit. You were ashamed of me cos I'm not like you or your friends. You didn't want them to know because you're scared of what they might think. You know, I really liked you, I thought you were different." Ville laughed bitterly. "I guess not."
"I am different." Bam protested. "Please don't give up on me."
"Too late. I don't want to be with someone who's ashamed to be with me."
"I'm not ashamed of you, I'll prove it to you."
"I wish I could believe you but I can't." Ville replied sadly, pushing Bam out the way so he could leave.
"Ville, be honest with me. Have I lost you completely or do I stand a chance at fixing this?"
"I still like you Bam, I don't know why, but I do. I don't forgive you or trust you though. Those are things you have to work on." He walked out. leaving Bam to go to bed, his mind spinning as he thought about how to regain Ville's trust.
Breakfast the next morning was still as silent as they had been but it lacked a lot of the tension that had been present. They made their way to school seperately and instead of going over to his friends, Bam took a deep breath and headed over to the other side of the school where Ville always sat with his friends.
The four boys surrounding Ville glaring at him as he approached almost made him turn around and leave again but instead, he gritted his teeth and reminded himself that he'd faced worse.
"Hey Ville." He said, his voice wavering nervously.
"What do you want?" Ville didn't even glance at him and he couldn't help but flinch at the cold tone even though he was expecting it.
"Ok, I guess I deseve that." He said resignedly.
"No, what you need is a lot more painful." Ville spat.
"Look, I'm here to prove to you that I'm not ashamed of you."
"Do you really expect me to believe that it's coincidence that you decided to talk to me away from your friends and when there's hardly anyone around? I'm not stupid Bam." The bell signaling the start of school rang and Ville and his friends got up and walked into the building without another glance, preventing Bam from defending his actions.
For two days Bam kept trying to talk to Ville without his friends finding out. He really cared for Ville but he didn't want his friends to know that he was seeing one of their favourite targets for pranks and teasing.
It all came to a head thursday lunchtime when Bam and his crew were sitting in the cafeteria trying to work out if the slop they'd been served for lunch was actually frogspawn and roadkill. In the middle of placing bets on whether the mystery meat was actually either hedgehog or the janitors cat, Pansy Horton, otherwise known as the schools gossip, ran up to her table and started talking excitedly.
"You have to come out to the bleachers right now, there's a really big fight going on!"
The boys exchanged glances as they evesdropped on the conversation. "Let's go and watch!" Knoxville suggested eagerly. "It's got to be better than this."
The others agreed and they quickly left the lunch hall and ran to the bleachers. There was already quite a crowd gathered but they managed to push their way right to the front. The schools quarter back seemed to be beating the other person senseless and they really didn't have a chance to fight back.
The football player, who Bam knew to be Brad Sullivan, took a step back and Bam froze in horror. On the floor, barely concious and covered in blood, was Ville. As Brad moved to hit Ville again, Bam saw red. Not caring who was watching, he ran forward, tackling the guy to the ground in a blind rage.
"Keep your fucking hands off my boyfriend you asshole." Bam yelled, ignoring the gasps of shock from the crowd at his words and following each word with a punch to the football players face. He was finally stopped as Brad's friends grabbed hold of him and dragged him away from him.
"You're a fag too?" One of them sneered. "Well, we'll just have to give you the same treatment we gave him."
Bam didn't have time to process the statement before a fist hit him straight in the jaw. As soon as the guy hit him, he was tackled by Dunn, Raab and Knoxville who hadn't been too happy that someone was hurting their friend. It was like all hell had broken loose as both groups of boys lashed out at each other and Bam tried to keep them away from Ville.
The fight didn't last time before the teachers noticed what was going on and ended it, insisting that they all go straight to the principles office. When Bam tried to go with Ville to the nurse instead, he was forcibly led there by one of teachers.
Principle Turner decided that he wanted to talk to each group seperately so Bam, Raab, Dunn and Knoxville sat and waited anxiously for their turn to go in.
"You didn't have to do that you know." Bam said, cradling his aching jaw.
"We weren't just gonna stand there while some jock beat on you." Dunn said indignantly
"Yeah, besides, it gave me a great excuse to hit the bastard that stole my girlfriend last year." Johnny smirked.
There was an akward silence before Raab asked the question they'd all been wondering. "Why didn't you tell us you're shagging the goth freak?"
"Don't call him that." Bam snapped angrily.
"I don't get it, the other week he came up to you and you laughed at him with us. What's going on?"
"I know." Bam groaned, covering his face with his hands. "I totally messed up. I didn't want you to know that I've been seeing him and that really hurt him and now he hasn't been talking to me."
Before his friends could respond, the other boys came out of the office looking very subdued and they didn't even look at Bam as they left silently.
The principle stuck his head out of the door. "You can come in now boys."
They exchanged nervous glances before standing up, entering the room and taking a seat in the many chairs in front of the desk.
"I want to hear your side of the story before I decide how to deal with you. So could one of you tell me what happened please."
"Ok, listen, before I explain what happened you have to know that these guys didn't do anything so you can't punish them for anything.
"I'll be the judge of that Mr. Margera, just tell me what happened."
"Ok, we heard that there was a fight going on by the bleachers so we went to see what was going on and when we got there Brad was beating the crap out of my boyfriend."
"So you retaliated by hitting him back." Principle Turner finished.
"Pretty much." Bam admitted.
"So where do the rest of you come into this digusting show of testosterone?"
This time it was Dunn that spoke up. "They started hitting Bam because he's gay so we were trying to protect him."
"Listen, can we just hurry up and get this over with, I need to go and see Ville and make sure he's ok." Bam interupted suddenly.
Dunn couldn't help but let out a gasp of concern as he looked at Bam's paper white face, his expressive blue eyes filled with tears and his shaking hands. "He's gonna be ok dude." He said gently, trying to reassure him.
"Did you even see him? Bam lashed out. "Did you see all the blood? I don't even know if he was concious or not, so how the hell can you say he's gonna be ok?"
"Oh my god, you're in love with him aren't you?" Raab exclaimed.
"Yeah, yeah I think so." Bam confirmed softly.
"Ahem." Prinicple Turner cleared his throat, making the boys jump and bringing their attention back to him. "I won't be much longer, I understand that you're very worried about Mr Valo. Punishments will go like this, the group of boys that you fought with have a months suspension for their cruel and violent predudice against another students sexuality and you all have two weeks suspension for fighting on the school grounds."
He paused to see if there was going to be any arguments. When there wasn't, he continued. "Your parents have been contacted and I would like you all to wait outside my office for them to arrive. Is there any questions?"
"Can I go and see Ville while we wait for our parents to arrive? I won't go anywhere I promise."
"You can, but only because these are special circimstances."
The words were barely out of the principles mouth before Bam was out of his chair and racing down the hallway to the nurses room. He threw open the door and walked straight past the nurse, not even noticing she was there as he searched for Ville.
"Excuse me young man, can I help you?"
"Uh, yeah I wanna see Ville, is he ok?"
"Are you a friend of his?"
"I'm....I'm his boyfriend."
"Come along then. I put him in the side room for some peace and quiet but you can see him for a little while." Just before she opened the door she turned to him.
"I know it must have been terrible for you to see him like that but I promise you that it looked a lot worse than it is." She allowed him in the room and Bam immediately went over and sat in the chair next to the bed.
"Hey Willa." Bam said, gently brushing Ville's hair out of his face.
"Hey." Ville was quiet for a moment, like he was thinking, before he spoke again. "How come you only call me Willa when I'm hurt?"
"I don't have a clue!" Bam laughed, pleased to see a small smile on Ville's face. "How are you feeling?"
"Like I got hit by a two tonne quarter back with no neck."
Bam had to laugh at Ville's description of Brad. "Seriously though, are you ok?"
"Yeah I'll be fine, I've had worse fights than that. Thanks for standing up for me though, I heard you tell him that I'm your boyfriend when you were beating the hell out of him."
"Yeah I'm sorry about that, I knwo you're angry at me and you probably don't want me calling you my boyfriend but I didn't think before I spoke."
"It's ok, I don't mind." Ville said shyly.
"But... but I thought you didn't want to know me any more." Bam stuttered, confused.
"I hate the fact that you seem so ashamed of me but for some weird reason I can't stop thinking about you no matter how hard I try not to. The fact that you just told half the school that we're together kinda made me think that maybe you're not as ashamed of me as you were."
"I was never ashamed of you Ville." Bam sighed. "I was ashamed of my friends and I was ashamed of me."
"Why?"
"Because my friends have treated you really badly and I thought that they'd be even worse if they knew and I'm ashamed of me because I teased you as well and I have three classes with you and I never even knew that you existed." He looked down at his hands in shame and was suprised when a pale hand rested on top of his.
"Bam do you actually care for me? Be honest."
Bam looked straight into Ville's eyes and replied honestly. "I love you." For a few seconds Ville just looked at him in shocked silence and Bam was starting to think it had been a bad idea to be so open with his feelings, but then a smile crept across Ville's face and his beautiful eyes lit up like Bam had just given him the world.
"I love you too Bammie. I think that we need to start again. No secrets or shame, just us. What do you think?"
"I think that sounds perfect." Bam grinned, leaning in to kiss Ville lightly. They heard someone cough akwardly behind them and they pulled apart to see their parents standing with the principle in the doorway.
"Uh hi." Bam said lamely. His first instinct was to deny that anything had been happening but then Ville's hand slipped into his, their fingers lacing together and suddenly he didn't care about anything else.
"If it's ok with you both, we will be having this meeting with your parents here as it Ville and the nurse is insisting that he lay still and rests."
Both boys nodded their consent and all the adults found chairs and took seats near the bed apart from Anita who sat on the edge of the bed so she could keep a close eye on her son.
Principle Turner adressed Anita first. "I'm very sorry that this has happened. We've always prided ourselves on having the lowest violence record of every school in the state. The boys responsible have been given a months suspension and have been informed that if anything like this happens again they will face immediate expulsion." Anita nodded, unhappy that the boys hadn't been expelled already but accepting what the principle had done.
He then turned to Bam's parents. "I'm afraid to inform you that I've had to suspend Brandon for two weeks."
"What? You can't do that, he didn't do anything wrong. He was just trying to protect me." Ville exclaimed, trying to sit up.
"Willa, baby, it's ok. Lay back down and relax." Bam cooed gently, stroking Ville's hair and trying to calm him down. Their parents exchanged smiles as they watched the two boys together.
"What did Bam do to get suspended?" Phil questioned.
"Your son saw another boy hurting Ville and so he jumped on the boy and started punching him. The fight got even more out of control when someone hit Brandon and his friends jumped in to protect him."
"My crew look out for me." Bam said proudly. "I still think that you shouldn't have suspended them for protecting me though."
"I understand that both you and your friends did what you did for good reasons but I can't condone fighting in the school grounds and I can't let it go unpunished."
"I know. Doesn't mean I have to like it though." Bam smirked.
"Well I'm proud of you honey." Ape spoke up, suprising Bam with her words. "I do agree that you shouldn't have used violence but you were trying to protect someone that you care about so I'm not angry at you, just don;t make a habit of it."
Bam grinned at her. "Thanks Ape, you're the best."
"So can we go now?" Ville interupted. "If I'm being forced to rest, I'd rather do it in my own bed."
"Of course Kulta, let's get you home.
"I'll get your things out of your locker if you want." Bam offered. "I have to get my stuff anyway."
"Yeah thanks. My locker is 118 and the combination is 666."
Bam laughed out loud. "Only you would have that as your locker combination!"
"We'll meet you by the entrance Bam, be quick so we can go." Ape instructed.
Bam grabbed their belongings out of their lockers and was back at the entrance in record time as he was anxious to get Ville home and in bed so he could rest and try to recover. He'd never cared for anyone this much and it kind of scared him but the feeling of completion it gave him was worth the fear.
They all piled into the car, Ville and Bam together in the back with Anita while Phil drove and Ape just kept smiling at the in the rearview mirror. It wasn't a long journey home but by the time they got there, Ville had fallen asleep on Bam's shoulder.
Bam carefully got out of the car trying not to disturb his sleeping boyfriend, and gently picked him up, gathering him into his arms and carrying him into the house.
"I'm gonna take him upstairs and put him in bed so he can sleep for a while." Bam whispered, already heading for the stairs.
He slowly made his way up the stairs and with a lot of difficulty, managed to strip Ville down to his boxers and get him into bed and under the covers without waking him up. He pressed a soft kiss to Ville's forehead and turned to leave when a hand grabbed his wrist. He turned to find Ville looking at him with sleepy green eyes.
"Don't go Bammie. Come and lay here with me, please?" The almost child like tone and the adorable pout broke any resolve Bam might have had about the idea.
"Of course Willa, I won't leave you, I promise." Bam took off his jeans and burgandy shirt and slid into the bed next to Ville. He wrapped his arms around Ville's slim waist as the Finn immediately nuzzled into him, resting his head on Bam's chest.
"I love you Bam." Ville whispered, sleep already starting to claim him.
"I love you too Ville and I'm not gonna let anything get in the way of that again." He lay still, content to hold Ville as he heard his breathing start to even out. He knew that they would have to go through a lot to be together. Their friends would be weird about it and there would always be people that hated them for it, but as he looked down at the angelic boy curled up against him, he knew that they would be able to face it all together and always come out stronger than before.
