Chapter Five

Well I am gladly putting up the final installment of my first story posted. It's on my birthday too! I swear I didn't make it work out like this! But... it's now over. I'm not entirely happy about it, but that's what I have you guys for! And it's the shortest chapter yet. But that's why... *gasps* there is a sequel! It's called 'Coming Home to Broken Promises'. YAY!! Now then, ON WITH THE DRAMA!!

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Silver didn’t talk to Ryan at all before she left. He and Brendon saw her off at the terminal. Within a ten minute interval, she was gone. Ryan stayed to watch even as the plane took off, heading northeast, away from him.

Yeah, he was sad. But maybe it was better this way. He and Brendon got into the car and drove off, heading back to an empty house.

Silver landed in Detroit 8 hours later. It was a nonstop flight from Las Vegas to Detroit. She was thankful for that, she got sleep. Her flight left at 10 AM, and it was now 4 PM in Detroit. She yawned, now she was experiencing her first bout of jetlag. She grinned, happy for the bad experience. She was gone. Away from everything. Ready to start an almost new life.

She drove to her new apartment in the middle of the huge city and started to unpack. She had a job waiting for her here as a waitress at some local restaurant. She got all the way down to a piece of paper she didn’t remember putting in there. She opened it, her mind blank, and read it all the way through.

It brought a genuine smile to her face.

She would go to school to have this in the long run. In his neat little scrawl, Ryan had written this:

Silver -
You now know how I feel about you, to an extent. You light up my life. I can hardly go a day without seeing you smiling up at me. You are so beautiful, I don’t see how any guy doesn’t go after you. I know this’ll probably make it harder, with college and all, but I really do like you. I didn’t at first like you in that way. You were just my friends cousin. It’s such a cliché story, too. But anyway, even after college I will still be here, hoping that you’ll come back home to me. Come home. I’ll wait for you forever if I have to.
Love,
Ryan

Silver smiled to herself. It didn’t make it harder. This was a lot easier knowing she had something to go back to. Before she read the letter, she was going to stay in Michigan and forget whatever had happened in the past. She was going to start a new life. But now, now she had something to go back to. Something more than a house with her cousin, prone to nightmares every night for the rest of her life.

And she even had a feeling her life at the college would be short lived, even less than she planned.

Yeah. I know! SHORT! But there is a sequel that is already partially written. I am almost to the climax of it! I should have it up if I get enough attention in the review part of this story. And news for you! Even if you aren't a registered user, you can still review me! PLEASE!?!?

Enough of my nonsensical beggin...

I am out in peaces.
