Chapter 7
Ella sat alone in the snow looking around at the snow covered trees. The memory of the beast still haunted her thoughts. She didn't feel safe out in the middle of nowhere. She thought to herself for a moment, "A Cabin?" She closed her eyes and created the cabin in her head. She opened them and saw the vision of a log cabin in front of her. Smoke came out of the chimney, the windows shown a bright inviting light. She shook her head, "No...to predictable." She wished it away.
She thought again about what could be sheltering to her. She opened her eyes, seeing a large icy cavern in the side of a very tall mountain. The entrances seemed to be nothing but ice. You could see right through it to the inside. She walked through the large opening, and looked around. The light from the sky seemed to refracted through the ice, making the cave well lit all the way through it. Large rocks were arranged around a small pond of crystal clear water directly in the center of the cave.
"Perfect." She smiled happily. She wondered around, picking up small rocks off the ground, and tossing them in the pond in total boredom. She threw herself on one of the rocks and sighed loudly, "Come back Bill." Just when started to doubt he'd returned. She heard the foot steps through the snow outside the cave. She got up and ran to the entrance to greet him.
"Hi," He waved to her as he walked towards the cave, "Where'd this come from?" He asked pointing the the mountain. "Wasn't her last time, was it?"
"Oh, no it wasn't." She answered, "Don't worry about it, come in." She grabbed his hand and dragged him behind her.
He looked around the structure in awe, "I love it."
"Good. It's all ours," Ella replied and pushed him down in a seated position on on of the rocks.
She sat down on a rock next to his and smiled happily, "Bill can I ask you a question?"
"Yeah," He replied.
"Do you talk about the dreams you have about me with your friends?" She asked.
He had to think about it for a second, "No. I don't think so."
"Do you remember them in the morning," she asked.
"Yeah, not right away, but they come to me later, " He said.
"Oh. Okay," She was relieved to hear he remembered her.
"Do you?" He asked her as she was in thought.
"Do I what?" She asked.
"Do you remember me?" He asked again.
She nodded, "Yes. I do."
"Good to know, " He said with a smile.
She giggled and nodded in agreement, "Yeah it is." She rested both her hands on his knees. She remembered the ring she had taken form him, and quickly pulled it off her finger, "Oh, you left this with me last night." She handed it back to him.
He smiled and slipped it back on her finger, "You keep it," He replied.
She blushed and leaned closer to him, "Thank you."
He lifted his hand to one side of her face, her head tilted in his hand. He leaned in and kissed her lips softly. She closed her eyes returning his kiss, her hands slowly moved up his thighs, and clutched onto the front of his shirt.
He pulled out of her grasp and walked over next to the water sitting down on the ground. He patted an empty spot next to him as he smiled at her. Ella walked over to the spot and plopped down next to him with a giggle. She leaned closer to him and kissed his lips again. "Much better spot."
"Isn't it?" He laughed.
She lay back and pulled him down with her. He lay at her side with one arm draped around her stomach and the other propping up his own head as he looked in her eyes.
"We should write out names on the wall, like they used to carved names in a tree," Ella said staring up at the ceiling, "You know what I mean?"
"Yeah," He replied, pushed his hand in his pocket pulling a sharpie out, "I always carry one."
She snatched it from his hand and bounced to her feet, "Where do we write it?"
He smiled up at her, and pointed to a wall in the back of the cavern, "How about there?"
"Good spot!" She giggled and hurried to the place he'd pointed to.
He finally pulled himself up off the stone, and walked up behind her wrapping his arms around her waist as she wrote, 'Bill + Ella.' on the wall. "It looks really, really good." She smiled happily and turned wrapping her arms around his shoulders kissing his deeply, "I love you Bill." She whispered to his lips.
"Love you too, Ella, " He told her as he took the pen from her hand, "One more thing," he said as he leaned to the wall, drawing a heart around the two names. "There."
"Perfect!" She giggled gleefully, squeezing him tightly in her arms.
She gently nudged him against the wall next to the writing, and kissed his neck teasing him. He groaned softly at her kisses, and held onto her shirt as it pleased him. She pulled back the second she heard the familiar sound of her phone.
Ella jolted awake and ran across the room grabbing the phone and yanking the plug out of the wall, "Fuck OFF!" She threw the phone across the room and ran back to her bed hopping back in it forcing herself back to sleep. Once she'd returned Bill had vanished. She sighed laying over a rock in the center of the cave. "Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck."
She lay alone waiting for Bill's return. Not wanting to miss one second of time with him she waited.
