Feeling like his entire world was slipping away, Thomas hit the keys in desperation, almost forgetting he couldn’t just talk to him out loud anymore.

Thomas took off his helmet, feeling like he had the biggest hangover in history. He blinked. Nothing looked the same. The paper cup on his desk with the remains of coffee in it, the blue light underneath the power button of his computer, his own hands on the keyboard. Everything seemed so unreal, and not worth his time. He looked at his monitor. It was 5.17 AM.
Thomas hid his face in his hands.
