Chapter 71
Kelly's pov
Kelly sat looking out the window into the darkness of the night. The clock beside her read 5am and Carrie was nowhere to be seen. Their was missing meaning that she had went for a drive, Kelly was thankful for that. But she really didn't like the idea of Carrie being out in La alone. She wasn't cut out for it. She also couldn't bare the fact that she was sitting up waiting for the sun and her wife to appear. Just like many times before. She didn't want those times returning, they had worked to hard of the last few months for it all just to crumble at the first hurdle.
Just as she was about give up and call Carrie's cell a cab screeched to a halt outside their apartment. She could see the blond of Carrie's hair in the back seat. Not wanting to look desperate Kelly quickly jumped into bed and pretended to be asleep. She could hear Carrie sneaking into the room trying her hardest not to wake Kelly up. The banging of her boots being kicked off and the bounce of the bed as she threw herself down on it caused Kelly tense.
'I know your awake..........' Kelly rolled onto her back to face her wife.
'It's hard to sleep when your wife is out alone all night and you have no idea where she is..............'
'I told you I was going for a drive..........'Carrie rolls on her side till she's beside Kelly, their faces inches apart.
'Have you been drinking........'Kelly leaned up on her elbow to get a look at her wife.
'I found a small bar.........I just wanted to relax.........'Carrie shrugged as she rolled onto her back away from Kelly.
'And you can't relax here?.......with your wife............' Kelly didn't want to sound like the nagging with but she couldn't help herself.
'I wanted to breath..............'
Carrie's pov
Carrie watched as Kelly flinched at her words and she regretted them instantly.
'I just wanted to think............'She tried to make things better but the damage had been done, Kelly rolled away from her.
'Well I hope it worked.............'
'Kelly.......'
'It's five in the morning Carrie........we haven't slept let's just get a few hours before we have to get up...............' Carrie accepted Kelly's plea without arguing.
