Chapter 72

Kelly's pov

When Kelly finally woke at an normal hour she knew right away that Carrie was gone again. Her side of the bed empty, not even a note to let Kelly know she was ok. She could feel it happening again, just like before. Carrie was slipping back into her usual route and Kelly had to sit by and watch. But only this time Kelly was in no way wanting to sit and watch her wife try and destroy their marriage for the second time. She was stronger now and had learnt what she needed, to be able to make the choices she wanted. If Carrie was so set on ruining their life's then Kelly would fight her all the way to make sure that didn't happen.

After a quick shower Kelly sat at the kitchen table waiting on her wife to arrive back from where ever she was. Kelly and thought about what she would say, what words to use to shock Carrie out of her mood. She couldn't be to hard on her, that would only push Carrie away more but she knew their time in La was up, they could not cope with any more.

Just as 2pm came Kelly heard to front door bang shut. She sat calmly at the kitchen table and waited for Carrie to come to her.

'Please don't start yelling again........'Carrie called out from the hallway even before she entered the kitchen.

'Who's yelling?............'

'I just don't want a fight..................'Kelly could hear the fear in Carrie's voice even if she did try to hid it with mild irritation.

'Nether do I....................' Once Carrie was in the kitchen Kelly stood to make her something to eat.

'You don't have to do that.................' Carrie tried to pull the food away from Kelly's hands but the short Texan moved away from her.

Carrie's pov

Carrie let go and sat down at the kitchen table. She knew Kelly was angry, and she knew she had every right to be.

'French toast ok?...............'

'Perfect.............' Carrie tried her best to sound happy, to make it sound like she liked being in La. That the idea of walking out the house with Kelly and being photographed didn't want to make her vomit. That her career was now hanging by a thread. Not that it mattered. She had checked out from her career weeks ago. The moment they had landed in La and she saw what she had to do to keep it. What she had to make Kelly do to keep it. Kelly had never once done half the things Carrie was making her do now and She wasn't even complaining. That's what hurt the most. The fact that Carrie was whoring her wife's name around and that her wife was ok with it. The dirty feeling she had for weeks was to much now, if she didn't do something she knew everything would end badly.

'You want salt?.............' Carrie accepted the salt silently and began to eat. Kelly moved around the kitchen tiding.

'Sit with me?.............'

'Kelly's pov

Kelly took a deep breath before doing what Carrie asked. Taking the seat closest to her Kelly prepared herself for the talk.

'I can't stay here...............' Carrie said between mouthfuls. 'I can't be in La any more............'

'We need a change............'Kelly answered, she knew they were on the right page but hoped they were reading from the same book.

'I don't care if I'm going to ruin my career............I've realised your more important............'

'And if we stay here we won't survive...............'Kelly finished.

'Exactly...................'

'We need a change...........'Kelly repeated. She was already making plans for it in her head, she just hoped her wife would accept them.
