Sunlight landed on her lids, rousing Druke from unconsciousness. Rubbing her forehead lightly to persuade the men with jackhammers to get the hell out of her head. It didn’t work, but it did force her to realize that she wasn’t in her bed at Kong Studios…for that matter, she wasn’t clothed, which was unusual, considering she never slept naked.
Her third shock that morning was her new third arm. From the coarse, black hair on the arm, she concluded it was male. ‘Good. At least I know I’m not a closet lesbian…’she thought, as she moved out from under the appendage and blanket. Picking up her clothes, she quickly dressed and looked around the room, attempting to remember what happened the night before. Catching sight of a pair of men’s pants, she preceded to pick through them. Finding a wallet, she opened it and stared at the ID.
‘Of all the guys I could have screwed…’ she thought as the memories of the previous night came flooding back to her. Pulling out a hundred dollar bill from the billfold of the wallet, she placed it on the dresser and put the wallet back in the back pocket and dropped the pants over the foot board.
She gathered the button and fabric shears and put hem in her pants pockets, then quietly walked out of the hotel room, and walked back to Kong Studios, all the while plotting her revenge on her soon to be dead sister.
--------
Switch sat on her bed, facing her barren closet, munching happily on her Big Mac. The hangers hung there, clothes-less, like skeletons in mourning of their flesh. Switch picked up the paper McDonalds cup and slurped some of the contents, eyes still trained on the empty closet.
She sighed and picked up her burger again taking huge bites and envisioning the new clothes that she was promising herself she was going to get to adorn her naked hangers. Finishing her burger, she slurped a few more sips from the paper cup that she couldn’t conceive how the liquid didn’t seep through. The cup was paper after all!
“I’m going to get some clothes. Druke’s clothes look like shit on me! They look like shit on her too, but that’s a shopping trip for a new day…” She stood in front of her closet, contemplatively. “Now…if I were a mall, where would I go to find myself…?”
“Downtown.” A male voice sounded from behind her. Whirling around, she came face to face with the lanky lead singer standing right behind her. “They have some bloody awesome music stores. They’re clothes aren’t that bad either.” He continued, leaning debonairly against the door frame. “Alright. Give me some directions and a map.” Switch answered back, wiping the debonair smile from his face. He quickly pushed himself off the doorframe and blocked the doorway.
“I could take you if you want.” He whimpered slightly, imperceptivity. “Cool. Where’s your car?” Witch said, going for the door. “um…I don’t have a car…I have a motorcycle…” he said timidly, looking away from Switch, expecting her to shrink away in disgust. “Awesome! Let’s Go!” She shrieked, surprising 2D, causing him to blink at her for a moment before she grabbed his wrist and pulled him down the hall to the carpark.
-------
Druke dragged herself into the studio, her plans for Switch formulated in her head, all mapped out, She decided she would see if Switch were asleep or, better yet, out of her room. She stopped into her room first, grabbing her black duffle bag of doom, then went to check on her darling, soon to be tortured sister.
-------
For a carpark in a studio full of weird things and people, the cars were organized and labeled, so finding 2D’s motorcycle wasn’t too hard. Parked right in front of 2D’s room, stood a bike of beauty; a Harley-Davison, brilliant black, shining finish and blue flames dancing along the bike. Switch stood, rooted to the floor by the sheer beauty of it, her mouth slack and her eyes refusing to blink.
2D watched, fascinated by her odd reaction. When she was finally able to move again, she danced her fingers over the glossy surface as if it were alive, a master piece. She had to hold herself back from jumping up and down…
“Can I drive? Please!” she begged, her face split in a genuine child-like smile. Seeing her like that, 2D couldn’t say now…but he didn’t want hr to die either. “Ya know how to drive a motorcycle?” he asked, unable to stop himself from smiling at her. Switch just whipped out her license from her back pocket. “First thing I learned to drive.” Switch smiled grandly as she happily presented the license, bouncing lightly on the balls of her feet.
2D dropped the keys into her outstretched palm. Giggling happily, she pressed the keys between both her palms ad held them to her chest, hopping up ad down. “Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!” she chanted and straddled the bike, waiting for 2D to climb on. He went to the wall in front of the bike, pulling two helmets off the pegs in the wall, waling back, he handed one to Switch, who inspected the helmet for a moment, then gazed at 2D questioningly.
“I don’t have enough brain cells to lose any in an accident and I don’t want you to change at all. Who knows? If you hit your head you might realize you don’t like me all that much.” 2D joked, straddling the bike behind her. Switch smiled again, then twisted around to place a passionate, reassuring kiss on his slightly open mouth. The she turned away from the smiling lead singer, put on her helmet, and turning on the engine. 2D put on his helmet and wrapped his arms around Switch’s slender waist. “Ya ready?” she asked playfully. “Let’s ride baby.” He said sexily, feeling her tremble slightly in his arms.
Switch revved the engine and flipped the bike into reverse, reveling in the purr of the machine beneath her. She pulled out of the space, put the bike in drive and sped off, 2D snapping out of his daze and clutching onto Switch for dear life.
“WOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” Switch howled as the bike propelled the two forward.
