Black Infinity

Mikey led me down a hall of the hotel till we ended up where the hotel stairways were. “umm... you do know this hotel has an elevator right?” I told Mikey. “yes, I know but the elevator can’t bring you to the roof.” he finished with a smile. “oh, Mikey your taking me up to the roof?” I asked, “mhmm” Mikey said while nodding his head and opening the stairway door for me.

About 15 floors later we finally reached the roof of the hotel. I told Mikey we still could have taken the elevator up to the floor right below the roof, and he looked at me like yeah we should have. We both laughed it off and walked over to the ledge of the hotel roof. “Well here’s what I wanted to show to you Diana.” Mikey said. The whole glitzy, bright, over done city of Las Vegas was staring back at me. “Wow,” I said breathlessly. “I knew you would like this.” Mikey said whist taking my hand in his.

“Look Diana, I really am okay with sharing you with Pete, even if I sometimes don’t look like I am.” He said with his head down not really looking me in the eye, I noticed his face looked a little pinkish. Then I thought back to what he did to me last night and wondered how this could be that same guy, he was so confident while he was giving me pleasure. “I never thought you weren’t....” I started to say but he cut me off, “he’s like a brother to me sort of, and I know I’m happy when he is so....”, this time I cut him off with my lips on his.

I kissed him hard like it might be the last time I got to have him all to myself. I knew he was lying about being okay with everything, I could cense it when he was around Pete and I. He was just playing a part so he could at least have some of me, but I knew deep inside of him he wanted a real, normal relationship.

A couple of minutes later I found myself back in my room, I noticed my curtains were open, I could have sworn I shut them before. Just then my hotel phone rang and I jumped, being startled by the sound. I fought with myself on whether or not to pick the phone up. I stared at it for what seemed like minutes but was only a few seconds, “Hello,” I had picked the phone up and placed it to my ear. “Hello, my lovely Diana,” It was Jake my ex-boyfriend. “what do you want?” I asked. “Oh come on Diana, there’s no reason to play games, you know what I want.” He said roughly into the phone. “Jake please, just leave me alone!” I screamed into the phone and hung up on him.

I walked over to the window, it was starting to storm. Rain was pouring against the glass, there was a huge bolt of lightning right outside in front of the hotel, and through the reflection of the window I thought I saw an image of Jake standing right behind me.
