My Babies Daddy


It had been a week since Zac had discovered Nikki was pregnant with his twins. They were sitting in the waiting room of the doctor’s surgery in Nikki home town in New York.

So far that morning had not gone good. Nikki’s morning sickness was even more chaotic then usual. And on top of that, next doors big fat and ginger tomcat had dug up Nikki’s mother’s Rose bush. So they spent half an hour listening to Karen Blonsky ranting to her husband, Carl, about how that cat needed shooting and stuffing.

Of course she hadn’t been serious; Karen loved all kinds of animals. She couldn’t help but mourn her beautiful Rose bush. She had spent ages planting and watching its progress as it grow, that’s of course when she wasn’t working.

Both Zac and Nikki secretly thought it was funny. Even Nikki’s younger brother Joey thought it was funny, and made no such secret of this fact, which caused him to end up on the receiving end of the evil eye courtesy of his mother.

But that was not the worst of it. No, the worst went by the name of Lana Carson, the receptionist, who currently sat behind the desk, and every now and then would look over at them and give Nikki the evil eye.

Lana and Nikki had never gotten along. They had known each other since kinder garden. Lana always made fun of Nikki’s plus size. She was jealous of Nikki, and thought the fat cow should have remained at the ice cream parlour scooping ice cream.

Lana was incredulous. How could such a talentless fat freak like Blonsky end up getting to be an actress, and get a role in one of the best movies of that year? And on top of that she was with Zac Efron of all people. It made Lana’s blood boil, that Nikki got to kiss Zac.

Lana couldn’t understand it. She was blond blue eyed, tanned and considered a size zero. She was constantly trying to get into acting and singing. What she refuses to see is that she could not sing, and her acting ability left little to be desired. Here she was stuck as a receptionist.

When Zac and Nikki entered the doctor’s office the doctor looked up and beamed and said “Ah Nikki, what can I do for you today?” Dr Harrison Sinclair, or better know as Harry to Nikki and her family, was a family friend and the doctor of the Blonsky’s.

Nikki took a seat and Zac took the other next to her. Nikki took a deep breath and told him everything. “I’m pregnant Harry, three months to be precise. I saw a doctor in Milan when I was away promoting Hairspray. He gave me my first ultra sound scan, and detected two heart beats. He told me to come and see my own doctor once I entered the country again.”

Harry looked stunned before he asked “Do your parents know Nikki?” He added turning to face Zac and said “And I’m going to presume you are in fact the father?” Zac nodded and replied “Yes sir, I am.”

Harry sighed and asked “Why did you two not use something?” Nikki replied “It was in the heat of the moment. We both weren’t thinking clearly, and unfortunately never thought to use anything. Of course we’re now dealing with the consequences.”

Zac added “I realise that isn’t a decent excuse, but it doesn’t make it any less true. We’re both more then aware that it is our own fault for not using any form of protection, and are willing to do whatever we have to.”

Harry asked “So you plan on sticking by her though this?” He added “I wouldn’t usually ask questions like this, but she’s not just my patient, she is also my god daughter as well. So I’m certain you can understand my concern for her well being.”

Zac nodded and replied “Of course. And yes I do plan on being there for her and the twins. She didn’t get into this situation all by herself. I of course played my part as well. I will stick with her and deal with the consequences of my own actions.”

He concluded “I do love her very much; sticking with her and the twins won’t be a chore for me in the least. I’m more then content just where I am. I’ve never been happier and more content then when I’m with Nikki.”

Harry smiled and nodded at this and commented “Yes, I must admit I always thought there was more between you then just friendship. I keep track of Nikki’s career on the internet and through her parents.”

He added “I’ve seen all of the pictures on the internet from all of those premieres and interviews you’ve done. You’re far too close and comfortable with being in each others personal space to be just best friends.”

He concluded “And of course I’ve noticed how much happier Nikki has been since she met you. Both of you have my blessing in whatever you choose to do.” Nikki was beaming at her god father in delight. Zac nodded, looking relieved that he had gained the approval of Nikki’s god father.

After that Harry examined Nikki, and then wrote down some notes in her patient profile. He would have Lana the receptionist update it later on the computer as well.

He referred Nikki to a Gynecologist. He assured her the person who he was referring her to was in fact female. Nikki had felt uncomfortable having a man she didn’t know fiddling down there, regardless of how professional it would be.

Whenever Nikki had examinations like that, she always saw the female nurse at the surgery. The only one who she thought had a right to see and touch her down there like that or in any other intimate fashion was Zac and he alone.

Zac was glad Nikki felt like that. The thought of another guy touching his Nikki like that, whether it is professional or not, made his blood boil and made him shudder in revulsion. No guy, except for him should have his hands down there or even viewing the content between her legs.

After Harry had given Nikki all the information she would need, and told her that she would receive a letter in the post, as well as a phone call giving her a date and time for her second ultra scan, to see if everything was coming along as it should have been.

After Zac and Nikki were gone, Nikki’s file was passed onto Lana. Lana took one look at the content of file, and who the file belonged to, and a devious little smirk curled the corners of her lips. She knew just how to get back at the fat cow.

Lana had a cousin who was a journalist, who had connections in all of the leading news papers all over the world. He was in his late twenties, and adored his little cousin and would do anything for her. Plus this would also get him more recognition as well.

It wouldn't be until a couple of days later that she would sit back and smile with relish at the headlines.
