This is a work of fiction. I do not know Gerard Butler. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
gerard butler, cute as they come
He wandered over to the soft brown suede lounge and flopped down. Wearily he looked over to his personal assistant, big brown eyes in a tired gaze meeting his blue green ones. His lids were heavy, yet he knew he couldn't sleep yet.
"Tonya?" came his weary voice, his scottish accent almost doubling in his exhaustion.
"Yes Mr. Butler?" Tonya's soft voice reached his ears and entered them quite invited. Gerard loved her voice, it was one of the reasons why she had gotten the position in the first place. He couldn't stand those women with high squeaky voices and talked too fast to be comprehended by anything. He closed his eyes and sighed.
"Do I really 'ave te go te this conference?"
Tonya suppressed her urge to giggle. Gerard was a really adorable man, but these long days full of endless talking and travelling were absolutely draining him.
"I think the fans who have most likely been camping out for hours to see you walk up that carpet for ten seconds would have a protest if you didn't. Police wouldn't be too happy to have to control the thousands of girls screaming for a single man other than themselves."
"Pfft. I din want it anneh more Tonya. I love the fact that they're so supportive, but do they really have te fantasize bout me every five seconds of the day? It's really gettin' on my nerves. I mean, I'm not a man who's unhappeh te have the attention. I love women. Any size, any colour. It doesn't matt'r. They're all gorgeous. But honestly, what can I do? I'm te scared bout goin' fer a walk anneh more without havin' a dozen girls flingin' themselves at me. I canna get in a steady relationship without runnin' the risk of losin' all my fans. It's killin' the life out of me. The money isn't even worth this... meh. Sorry Tonya, I dinna mean te complain out like that. It's just... becoming a bit too much."
"You're not the first one to think so you know. It's the price of being the best at what you do."
Gerard looked up into her brown eyes and saw the honesty she held within them. He didn't deserve such an angel. But then again, he paid her well. Tonya recognized the watchful gaze and set about her work once more.
"Now, about this conference, you don't have to stay for very long. Just arrive, smile and wave as per normal, answer all the same questions as last time with your perfect answers, then you can get home and into bed as early as 10."
Gerard groaned.
"Yer right, as usual. I just want a break. That's all."
Tonya locked eyes with him. "Well, you do have a week free between leaving here and heading back to L.A... if you really wanted to, we could always make a stop in Australia... the phantom was only released there a few months back, and without all your makeup and mask, not that many are likely to recognize you. If we're especially careful we can avoid the press altogether. No one but your mother would know..."
Gerard felt a surge of joy rush through him.
"Australia? Really?!"
Tonya tried not to laugh. "Really... but only if you want to of course."
A grin spread across Gerard's face. "That would be perfect!!! Can ye arrange it tonight fer me?"
Tonya let go of the chuckle she was holding inside of her. "Mr. Butler, it would be a pleasure."
A/N. I'm leaving it there just for now, I will be writing more in the next few days or so. Hopefully with a bit of romance... not giving any hints but so you'll have to guess who he runs into :P...
