Chapter 1:

It’s a beautiful sunday afternoon. The sky is clear, the sun is shining and the park is filled with young loving couples, old ladies sitting on the bunches talking and parents spending some time with their children.

You sit on the grass keeping an eye on your three year old son who’s playing with the child of one of your neighbors.

You lean back against a tree and start reading the book you brought when you sense someone standing in front of you.

You lift your hand to your eyes to protect them from the sun and look at the stranger.

“Hello there.” The man says moving closer to you.

“You…” your eyes widen as you take in the large, strong form standing in front of you.

He moves to your side and sits beside you, leaning back and supporting himself on his hands. He keeps his eyes on the people that are passing by as you stare at him in awe.

“What are you doing here?” you ask, putting your book down and sitting up, facing his side.

He looks down and then turns his head to look at you.

“I came for the premiere…” he says absently.

“That’s not what I’m talking about.” You say in a little too harsh tone. “Why are you here?” you ask again pointing to the place where he is sitting.

“I saw you here and decided to come talk to you. Why? Is it forbidden?” he raises his eyebrows at you.

“No, it’s not forbidden… I just thought you wouldn’t recognize me… that’s all.” You brush one lock of hair behind your ear and look down as you cross your hands over your lap.

When you look back at him you feel your face getting hot at the intensity of his eyes on you.

“Of course I remember you!” he says as if the fact of forgetting who you are were impossible.

You open your mouth to speak, but you’re cut off by your son who runs to you and jumps on your lap.

The man looks at him and your breath caught in your throat. You watch as both pairs of green eyes look at each other.

“This is my son…” you mumble. “Hmmm. Look, I have to go. I have to get up early in the morning. It was nice seeing you again.” You say standing up and pulling your son with you.

The man gets up as well. “It was nice seeing you too… and you big boy.” He says rubbing his hand over the boy’s head.

“Yes… bye.” You give him a small wave and hurry away pulling your son with you.

As you reach the side walk you look over your shoulder to find him still standing there looking at you.

“Oh God… please don’t do this…” you say to yourself as you leave the park.
