Freudian Slip

Mike sat on the couch watching Fuse’s greatest pop countdown. Not that he liked pap music but he loved to ridicule them! He could sit for hours mocking other artists, and this was usually how he spent his free time.

In the middle of the top 20 boy bands countdown the phone rang.

“Damnit I’m gonna miss Otown!”

Mike ran to the phone. “Hello?!”
As he spoke he made his way back to the living room. Thank god for cordless phones.

“Mike come over!”

“No, I’m busy”

“Come over right now!”

“I’m very busy Billie.”

“Stop watching the boy band marathon and get your ass over here!”

Speechless and shifty eyed Mike questioned the man on the phone…” How did you know…?”

“I know everything. Now get over here”

“Alright”

At the first knock Billie flung open the front door.

“I'm here” Mike said as he made his way to Billie’s TV to find the countdown. “How is 98* number five? They kicked ass!” Billie ran in and turned off the TV.

“Hey!”

“Shut up. I did something.”

“Well, unless you choreographed a dance to ‘Bye, Bye, Bye’ turn the TV back on!”

“I left Adrienne.”

“What?!”

”just now, she just left before I called you”

“I thought you said you left her?”

“I did. She went to her mother’s house.”

“You’re serious aren’t you?!”

“Completely. I told her that I couldn’t keep on living two lives. And we talked about it.”

“But she said she was ok with us.”

“I know but it’s not fair to her or the boys, were still gonna stay really close and raise them together. In fact the house next door is for sale. Maybe I’ll buy it for them.”

“You really left her? For me?”

“Of course for you. Who else?”

“Well you said you were going to leave her but, I thought you were kidding.”

“Nope, I’m all yours now.”

Mike took a minute to think about all the information he had just been given. Apparently longer then Billie could take.

“Mike? Say something!!!”

“Now you’re all mine huh?”

“Yup!”

“Hhhmmmmm”

“hmmmm? HHmmmmm what? Mike!”
