The phone rang next to Eddie’s head. He fell onto the floor with covers over his legs as he picked up the phone.
“Hola?”
“Eddieguesswhat. IgothiredbyVinceforbeingTheodoreLong’sassistant.”
“Wowh say it slower chica. I cannot understand that.”
“I am Theodore Long’s assistant.”
“You are? Chica how did Vince get your number?”
“Uh....Chavo.”
“Maylino Gina Gurerrero. Chavito wasn’t supposed to tell anyone that number.”
“Are you afraid that everyone will find out that you have a little sister?”
“Yes. They don’t need to know about you.”
“Oh come on Eddie. It’s not like hell. Come on Eddie no one will know much about me.”
“Chica you don’t understand what I am trying to tell you. I am worried about your safety.”
“You don’t need to worry about me Eddie. I am a strong girl and you taught me well like Papi. Papi would be proud if his youngest daughter got into wrestling.”
“No you’re right about him liking it, but not me. I will worry about your safety.”
“Eddie it’s not like high school where you had to come back and save my ass over and over again when I got into fights. It’s not like that any more.”
“What will happen if my friends meet you?”
“You don’t know what your own friends would say if they met me. Well we will find out though.”
