When It Costs Too Much to Love
Disclaimer: I do not own MCR so do not sue...OH! and I also used a couple lyrics from Fiona Apple*odd mix I know...* songs in here so don't sue me for that either!
Hunger hurts, but starving works, when it costs too much to love.
"Well that's just dandy!" she spit out bitterly. The harsh look in her eyes made me feel like I was being stabbed in the heart and having all I needed taken away.
"Don't look at me like that. You're the one ending it Gerard. Don't act shocked." Her words were a venom slowly killing me. The fact that I had turned that sweet angel into this only made it that much worse.
She stormed out of my room without saying another word, taking another breath. The last imaged branded into my mind was that of a pale white blur walking, no running, away. She couldn't get away from me fast enough.
I slowly sat down on my bed, shaking, mentally beating the shit out of myself for telling her "I don't love you anymore". I couldn't of gotten any farther from the truth.
It all started six years ago, long before any fame. I had been sitting on the steps of the main building of my art school. I noticed a vulnerable looking girl with bright brown eyes and black hair. She was leaning against a tree in the distance. I pulled out my art supplies and began drawing a picture of that girl. I furiously scribbled trying to finish before she left.
"What are you drawing?" The voice came from above me. I glanced up and there she was. Her long black locks cascaded down beautifully. The sun was behind her, the lighting was perfect.
"I'm just doodling" I threw the sketch book into my bag.
"You really get into doodling, eh?" She laughed and sat down next to me.
"I'm not normally this outgoing. I usually never approach people but I kept noticing you looking at me."
"Sorry about that..It's just kinda boring out here and-"
"Yeah, it's too quiet. Very odd."
"Well everyone is afraid of that killer." Her head snapped back around. Her eyes were wide and she asked "What Killer?"
I laughed while leaning in close to her face.
"You know the one who rapes woman, like yourself, then brutally kills them" The corners of my lips curled into an innocent smile.
"You're kidding right?" I shrugged.
"C'mon, you're kidding."
I laughed hysterically at how gullible she was. Then I reached a hand out towards her. She tightly grasped it with her own. Quickly my hand became sweaty and shaky. I pulled her up to my level and asked "When's your next class?"

I woke up in a bed I didn't recognize. I sat up and stretched, unsure of what happened that past night. Suddenly, Sara appeared in the doorway. That angel I had drawn a pic of was wearing an oversized T-shirt.
"You're in my shirt." I whispered unsteadily now realizing all that had occurred.
"You're observant!"
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Everyone told me I was a fool for not proposing to her after 6 years of dating. She kept waiting without complaining or even questioning me on it. Then I ended it, why I don't know and never will. She was the glue holding me together then when she was gone, I completely fell apart. I went insane.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I loudly knocked on Sara's door. I knew she was home but she refused to answer.
"Sara, open up. We need to talk."
"We?!? You've already gotten your point across. You don't love me. It's been six months. MOVE ON! You wanted to."
"Open the fucking door!" I said in a voice even I couldn't recognize.
"You don't own me anymore!"
I broke down, allowing my knees to give out and myself to fall to the ground. My pulse picked up and my head throbbed in unison with it. Then the door opened slightly and I saw a strand of red hair.
"You dyed your hair red?" I asked softly.
"It's my natural color.....just a bit brighter."
I stood up and propped myself against a post near the door.
"You look like shit." she said without flinching.
"You look gorgeous."
She opened the door fully and stepped back, letting me in. It had been so long since I had been in her apartment. Everything as the same. The smell triggered a rush of memories. Memories of happy times I took for granted.
Hunger hurts and oh, god I want her so badly it hurts.
