Walking home

"Totchi, what about walking while going home?" asked Kyo to his housemate.

"Yeah, it's such a warm evening, it will be nice! Though I'll leave my bass here, Kaoru won't get mad if I don't practice for a evening...ne?" he asked doubtfoundelly. Kyo raised an eyebrown with a look of he-only-has-to-dare-and-being-mad.

So the two friend left the studio and walked until their house.

"Kyo-kun, Kyo-kun!!! Onegai!!! Can we walk through that??" asked cheerfully Toshiya, pointing to a beautiful garden. Kyo nodded smiling. Toshiya was cute when he acted childish.

"But calm down or I'll have to take you straight home!" he laughed. Toshiya pouted.

"Mou, mum, you're so meaaaaaaaan!!!" They laughed and acted like that for a while, enjoying their company as they alwasy did. Toshiya was the only one with whom Kyo could laugh and joke like that.

He liked him because he was the only one that look at him not as a freak, as a lonely weirdo, but as a guy, a man, a friend.

Why the others were so different from Toshiya, Kyo didn't know. Even at the beginning when Kyo was in La'sadie and Toshiya wasn't in the band, the others didn't talk to him if not necessary. Now they talked to him a little more, but only because Toshiya cried asking it.

Yes. He cried because Die, Kaoru and Shinya didn't talk to Kyo. Kyo still remembered it. It was only some months after he joined them. Toshiya asked Kyo if he could live with him for a while, since the beginning. Kyo accepted. They get to know eachother very well, and Toshiya noticed that the other bandmates didn't talk to Kyo as much as they talked to him or between them.

He asked Kyo why. The singer said him that it was always like that, that maybe they didn't like him. Toshiya asked the others then, they answered that it was because Kyo ignored them whenever they tried to talk to him. Toshiya of course answered that it wasn't true, cause Kyo was always sweet with everybody.

After some times more, they were all in the studio, Toshiya and Kyo sitting on the couch and talking, Kaoru and Die near the window smoking, Shinya near his drumset drinking. And suddenly Toshiya burst in tears. Kyo got really panicked, he asked him what was wrong, nothing. He hugged him, nothing. He asked again, nothing.

Kaoru, Die and Shinya approached them, and asked him as well. Toshiya raised his head and said.

"Talk to Kyo please!!" Kyo stared at him shocked. Seeing how much the bassist was hurt by the not-talking to Kyo, the others started talking to him a little more than usual.

"Ehy Totchi, what about an icecream?" asked Kyo after a while. Toshiya nodded licking his lips. "My treat, ne?" added Kyo as a second thought. Toshiya's eyes beamed in happiness.

"I want a giant chocolate-cream-and-else one!!" he exclaimed childishly.

"You'll get fat!" laughed Kyo. Toshiya pouted and hit Kyo on the head.

"Unlike you if I gain some Kgs, nobody will notice cause I'm tall, but...if you do..." replied Toshiya with a smirk.

"Hey!!!" complained the singer. "Fine, then I can't eat the icecream cause I'll became fat, but you won't eat it as well!" Toshiya's smile fall.

"Kyo-kun!!" he pouted, poking Kyo's arm. Kyo smiled to himself, but ignored him. "Pwease!! You're not fat..."

"No."

"Pweasseee, pweaasee!! I'm sorry!!" Toshiya's eyes started watering. He didn't mean to make Kyo angry. Kyo turned and poked his tongue out at him. He noticed a single tear falling down from Toshiya's eyes and wiped it.

"I didn't mean to make you cry, Totchi..." he said feeling guilty.

"I didn't want you to be angry at me..." replied with a whisper Toshiya. Kyo took his hand and squeezed it softly.

"Let's get an icecream, ne?" Toshiya nodded. They took it and walked a little bit more, finally sitting on the grass to eat their icecream in peace.

"Kyo-kun, can I taste some of yours?" asked Toshiya after having eye Kyo's icecream for a while. Kyo nodded. Toshiya licked a bit of chocolate.

"Taste good,ne? But now I wanna taste yours as well!" asked back Kyo. Toshiya gave him his icecream.

"It tastes better..." whispered Kyo.

"Kyo-kun...."

"Yes?"

"I think it's better if you know..." started the bassist.

"What?"

"I...I think...that...I love you..." Most probably Kyo didn't understand the words correctly because he answered immediatelly.

"But I love you too!" Toshiya stared at him for a while.

"Ehm...Kyo-kun...I love you...like more...than a simple friend..."

"Of course, we are best friends!" replied immediatelly Kyo. Toshiya sighed and approached him, making his lips touch Kyo's ones in a lovely kiss. That time Kyo understood.

"Ah..." he whimpered.Toshiya felt as if dieing. Kyo didn't answer anything. He stood up and left the vocalist there alone, walking home. Kyo remained there, motionless. He didn't know what to do or say. It didn't happen many times that someone said him that he loved him. So he just didn't know what to do. Without mentioning that his relationship with Toshiya was utterly confusing for him.

He loved Toshiya a lot, but he didn't have any kind of way to know if his love for him was different from the one he felt for somebody else, because there was no somebody else.

He was in panic. He grabbed his mobile and called one of the person he talked to a little more.

"Moshi moshi?"

"Die..."

"Kyo? Is that you?"

"Yeah...Listen....I..."

"Is there some problems Kyo?"

"Ehm...kinda of...Toshiya..."

"What happened to Totchi?"

"He said he love me..."

"That's all?" Kyo raised an eyebrown.

"I think it's more than 'that's all'..."

"Come on Kyo, don't tell me you didn't notice!" exclaimed Die.

"Apparently not..."

"Kyo I think it was more clear than a clear sky!!"

"Not to me...I just thought it was love yes, but that kind of love that you feel for a best friend..."

"Pleaseee!!!" laughed Die.

"Can I ask you a question?"

"Of course.."

"How do you think my love for him looks like then?"

"Just as Toshiya's one for you looks like..."

"You're saying me that I love him more than a best friend? That I love him, like lover?"

"Obviously..."

"So do you think I'll have to run behind him and say that I love him too in the same way?"

"Why are you still there, then?"

"Because I don't know how can I judge this love for him..."

"Ok...then...Let me ask you some question:do you think that Toshiya is the most important person for you?"

"Of course he is!" answered without second thoughts Kyo.

"Second one: Will you do everything for him?"

"Of course, what a dumb question is this?"

"Isn't then obvious what kind of love you feel for him?"

"...."

"Kyo are you still there?" asked after a while Die.

"Yeah....sorry...you think it's that one, don't you?"

"Clearly..."

"Do you mind if I switch the mobile off, even if I didn't thank you yet and all?"

"Not at all, see you Kyo..."

"Die..."

"Yes?"

"Thank you really..."

"Come on you baka, run behind him!"

"I will..." And with that he switched the mobile off and run towards his house. He rushed inside and looked for the bassist.

He found him, sitting on his bed, there was no tears in his eyes. Toshiya was looking to nothing in front of him. Staring at the emptyness. Kyo sat near him. Toshiya ignored him.

"Totchi, please look at me..."

"Why shall I?"

"Cause I need to see at your face while talking.." said Kyo touching Toshiya's chin softly. The bassist turned to stare at him. For some seconds his face remained like before, as if made by marble. But then, suddenly, tears started falling down from his eyes. "Don't cry..." whispered Kyo wipeing some tears with his fingers. Toshiya shook his head and wiped them stubbornly.

"That's why I didn't want to look at you..."sighed Toshiya turning and once again not facing the vocalist.

"I called Die..." started Kyo. Seeing no reaction he continued. "I said him that you confessed...He wasn't surprised...He said it was clear that you loved me...And he said that it was as much clear as my love for you..."

"What do you mean?" asked after a while Toshiya.

"Exactly what I said."

"That means?"

"That I love you too..."

"Then why didn't you answer immediatelly when I kissed you?"

"Cause I didn't know that I loved you as well...I mean - he added seeing the gasp of Toshiya - I loved you, but I didn't know what kind of love it was..."

"You won't lie to me,ne?"

"I never did, I never will. I love you Totchi." And Toshiya believed him.
