At odds on Mitch


Okay, first I must tell you this IS AN AU. Second I wrote this for class and decided with the help of Nin-sama to post it. We had to write a story with a twist at the end. I bet most of you will guess what the twist is, considering who it’s about. Please don’t go to hard on me and give my au a chance. I’m really sorry if this fic sounds like I wrote while on crack. I swear I wasn’t. It was 9 o’clock n the morning and we had an hour to write the first draft and the next class period we had an hour to add the intro, conclusion and make any changes we had to. So that means this was written in about an hour and a half (I didn’t take up the full second hour).

Disclaimer: I DON’T OWN DIRU. Further more I’m a college student, which translates into no money, so sue me if you wish but you won’t much if you even anything.

In a faraway galaxy on a planet called Mitch, there were two prominent kingdoms. These two kingdoms, Zarmore and Dreyless, had been at war for sixty cycles (about 600 earth years). Soon that war would end. Zarmore’s fair and beautiful princess, Shinya, was to wed Dreyless’s fine and handsome prince, Die.

One day in Zarmore, Princess Shinya was sitting in her bedroom. She had been told by her father not to leave her rooms unless called upon. This order had insured her boredom. Which meant that Shinya, like every other bored teenager in the universe, was staring out the window daydreaming. She was imagining the one she was to marry. As is the way of most royal marriages (yes even in far off galaxies), the lovely little princess had yet to meet her prince. In fact she only knew two facts about him; his name was Die and he was from the rival kingdom of Dreyless. Shinya hoped he would not be too controlling of a husband (as is the way of some men). Also, was it too much to ask for him to be smart and handsome as well? She hoped not. Princess Shinya went to bed early for lack of anything better to do.

Then next day the ladies in waiting woke the fair princess early to prepare her. Today she was to meet and marry Die. When the prince came into view, Shinya was speechless. He was everything she could have hoped for.

The wedding went off without a hitch (hehe that rhymed with Mitch). Afterward, however, things became awkward. When the two were left alone together, Shinya noticed how quiet the prince was. “Die, is something wrong. Have I done something to offend you?”

“No, Shinya, you did nothing wrong. It’s just… well you’re a very beautiful girl. Delicate and graceful as you should be… but I… well I prefer other boys.”

Shinya relaxed, probably for the first time that day. “That’s a good thing then. I am a boy (dun dun duuunnnn, sorry I couldn’t help the dramatic music that escaped my mind). I dreaded telling you, I wasn’t sure how well you would take it.” Die looked at the other with a shocked face. When Shinya showed Die the truth (*cough* insert hentai thoughts here I’m too lazy to write the proper scene here. *cough*). They shared a loving kiss and a life full of love and peace.

Now one may ask why two males, especially royal males who need heirs, would be allowed to marry. Well, certain males on Mitch are able to give birth, even though most look like pretty guys, they are treated as women usually are, by their families. Other people look on them as… well boys. Shinya, while able to give birth did not look like a pretty guy. He looked like an extremely beautiful, flat-chested girl. Therefore, he was treated and viewed as just a regular girl. Well all except for Die, that is.


Well how is my first and maybe only au? I would appreciate reviews. I did change some things everything in parenthesis is added.
