Title: Inbetween
Author: PaperPlanesCrahs
Chapter: One - Clueless, for now.

*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.

What lies inbetween two bodies pressed together in search of any kind of pleasurable relief? Cole didn’t know, that’s for sure.

Cole McKenzie. Nineteen years of age.

In elementary school he was the girl’s dream prince.

In junior high, he was the boy that all the girls wanted to go out with.

In High school, he was the untouchable prince that was too beautiful for words.

Now, he was Cole, the very cute café boy.

He worked at a coffee house located near his university. It was called The Romance Café.

He loved working there because every one that worked there seemed like the family he had always wanted.

Now, Cole was a boy with golden brown hair, it was the usual ‘emo-style’ of his. It was layered in the front and back and he had side-swept bangs that covered on of his two beautiful green eyes.

He was a very nice kid, that’s why he had so many friends, but, they usually were looking for something more then friendship, even though most of the time, they knew that they could have that sort of relationship with Cole.

He was proud to say he was a virgin, well….proud is not exactly the right word.

He could’ve probably had any one he wanted, I mean, come –on, who wouldn’t want the thin, adorable, boy?

But he kept himself a virgin for a certain reason, because of his father.

As a kid going into his teen years, he had no mother, she had passed away a few months after Cole’s thirteenth birthday.

His father was not very fond of him, or his mother in fact.

The truth was, the man that Cole had called ‘Father’ most of his life, was, not actually his father. Well, that explained a lot. His so-called father had brown eyes and dull brown hair. They looked nothing alike.

His father had always, even after his mother’s death, referred to his mother as a whore.

After she had died, he had told Cole that he was proud not to be Cole’s real father and that Cole would probably turned out a whore like his mother.

That man could’ve been right.

But, Cole made a promise to himself, that he would lose his virginity to the one loved.

By virgin, Cole meant, complete virgin. He had not had sex, or had his first kiss, he didn’t have any tattoos or piercings. He was a complete virgin.

So, proud was not exactly describing how he felt about being a virgin, it was the feeling he felt for keeping his promise for so long.

After he turned 18, his dad turned him out with a pocketful of money and a pack on his shoulders. Well, even though it was small, that was all the encouragement he needed to get where he was now.

Cole was good at many things. He held one of the best Mile Run times in the university, he was top in math and majored in art and photography. He sometimes modeled and gave the money to charities, he donated blood. But the one thing that usually kept any possible guy friends away was the fact that he was gay.

He had plenty of friends that were girls, since they usually hoped that he would go straight in order to be their lovers, but, he had never had any friends that were guys.

Possible because he was a big fan of the band Fall Out Boy, and an even BIGGER fan of Pete Wentz. At first he looked up to the 24 year old rocker because he was a 24 year old virgin, but as of late, Peter Wentz wasn’t exactly a virgin any more, but all the same, Cole worshipped him. He had also dreamed of meeting this idle and maybe even getting a picture or two with him. But to him, as he served some customers coffee, that dream was far, far away.

Far, far away, just became a lot closer as a close friend of his walked into the coffee house with a smile painted on her pretty face.

Her name was Cassandra Front, but everyone called her Cassie.

Cole looked up at his best friend, she was probably the only one of his ‘gal-pals’ who knew that the possibility of Cole going out with a girl was zero to none, that was probably why he loved her so much.

“Eyy Cole.” Cassie said in her usual laid back tone, and her weird way of talking which she considered ‘slang’.

“What’s up?” Cole said wiping the counter and washing his delicate hands.

“I have a surprise for youu.”
She said taking an envelope out of her book bag.

“What is it?” Cole asked as a smile began to tug at his lips.

“Here.” She said handing him the envelope.

He opened it and took out what was inside. He almost died and went to heaven right then and there…

“FALL OUT BOY TICKETS!!!!!” Cole screamed and pulled his best friend into a hug
“I love you!”

She nodded her head, “Yahh, But I’m not going with you, you know that Fall Out Boy isn’t my thing...” she said as she hugged her best friend back.

“Oh,” Cole said after thinking a moment, “So, I’m going alone?”

A curt nod was his answer from his pale friend.

He sighed, “Fine….But thanks so much, Cassie!” he said as he hugged her again.

“Okay, okay. ‘Iight. I get it!” She said as she playfully shoved him away.

“But you better get packing…It’s in Vegas.” She said with a wink.

After a few more loud ‘thank you’s and a few more hugs, they left together to help Cole pack for, what would probably be the greatest trip of his life.
