Prologue
Prologue:
“We should take a break. Get our new lives together and all that…figure out where we should go from there, you know?” Kangta said, glancing over at his lover of what seemed like an eternity. He couldn’t believe that he was asking to take a break from their relationship. There was really no reason too but he couldn’t explain it. He just needed to get away from it, needed to try other things, other people.
“You’re kidding…right?” Hee Jun said, looking up from the papers he had been reading for something or other. His eyes fell on Kangta’s face, searching for any sign that the other was joking but all he saw there was a complete and utter seriousness. His heart seemed to drop into his stomach as his throat clenched. “You’re tired of me or something?” he asked quietly.
An uncomfortable and awkward silence followed and Kangta sighed, moving to wrap his arms around Hee Jun’s shoulders from behind, kissing his ear. “No…I’m not kidding. Neither am I tired of you, I just need a break from this. You know I love you, but before we’re any deeper involved…I need a break.” he whispered. “Our lives are changing and I need to make sure I have everything together you know?”
“You’ll come back, right?” Hee Jun said quietly, his heart pounding wildly as he leaned his head back against the other‘s chest. “You’re not leaving forever…”
“I promise,” Kangta said softly and right then he believed that promise. He just wanted a hiatus from commitment before they made a permanent decision. Something he knew Hee Jun had been wanting for some time. He needed time to sort out his feelings and his life. Now was as good as time as any to take it. It wouldn’t make it any easier if he waited. He knew he’d go back to Hee Jun’s arms, he loved him more than life.
“Then I promise to wait for you.”

So it’s short like a prologue should be. XP I hope you enjoyed it so far. I’m just letting my inspiration go on this. It started as a random thought to write this fic and now it’s grown into what’s going to be a multi-chapter plot filled fic. I’m sure there will be something for everyone in it. I apologize to those of you that winced at what is probably very OOC behavior. I admit to not knowing these Korean boys very well. In any case, please comment. I would love critiques on how to write them more accurately and my writing in general. Also general love for the story is appreciated and will encourage me to continue.
