When I've looked right through,

Well I threw you the obvious
Just to see if there's more behind the
Eyes of a fallen angel,
Eyes of a tragedy.
My eyes are ever watchful. Here in my dark seat, I have a clear view of everything...and of nothing. Do you see me? I see you. I see all of you. Not just the parts you openly display. I see the ugliness that you desperately try to hide from the rest of the world. I lose myself in your tragedies. I revel in your triumphs, however small or fleeting they may be.

I don't hold your obliviousness against you. I prefer to watch you from afar. Behind my drumset, I have a clear view of humanity, its flaws and its attributes, though sometimes those lines become blurred. At times, the varying shades of grey become too much to bear. Then the big picture comes together before my very perceptive eyes and it doesn't seem quite so bad.
