Pet Names

“Hey, sugar buns?” Bam poked his head into the bedroom where Ville was stretched out reading a book. The Finn wrinkled his nose as he peered over the edge of his book.

“What did you just call me?”

“Sugar buns.” Bam stepped into the room. “Why?” he looked perplexed.
“Wasn’t that okay?’

“Why would you call me that?”

“Why wouldn’t I?” Bam blinked. “Okay, fine. You don’t like it. I’ll find something else to call you.” He thought for a moment.
“Candy butt.”

“Bam,” Ville sighed. “You’re not calling me ‘candy butt.’”

“Why?” Bam pouted.

“Just… No. Let’s try again.” Ville put his book down and folded his hands expectantly over his stomach.

“How about… Yummy ass.”

“No!” Ville cried.

“All right, fine.” Bam looked frustrated. “Sweet bum!”

“No no no!” Ville groaned, covering his face with a pillow.

“Delicious rump? Gluten globes? Come on, Ville; give me something to work with here.” Bam pleaded. His lover pulled the pillow off his face.

“Why does everything have to do with my ass?”

“Well,” Bam blushed. Ville had to smile. He loved it when the American did that. “You call me sweetheart.”

“Yes, that’s perfectly reasonable.”

“Well, I thought. That… Well… Never mind,” he shook his head. Ville hopped off the bed.

“Tell me,” he insisted, cupping Bam’s face. Bam sighed.

“I thought that you had a really sweet ass, like I had a sweet heart. There. I said it.” He grumbled. Ville grinned and tried not to laugh out loud. It was sweet, in a weird sort of way.

He wound his arms around Bam. His lover pressed his hot face into the Finn’s neck. Ville kissed the side of his head.

“I love you.”
