Setsunai

**AUTHOR'S NOTE:**
Hi everyone! Soooo sorry I've been inactive for so long. I DO plan to eventually finish or at least continue "Toki no Kaze" (FKA: "Stealing Time"). "Setsunai" here is just a short story I thought you guys might enjoy. A glimpse into a profound love story, if you will. It's not dirty (for once!). I think I mostly write dirty when it's Yoshiki x Heath and more about love when it's hide x Yoshiki heh heh. Anyway, I need my reader's opinions on the following two things (this involves you guys now!):

1] I think I'd mentioned previously (or not) in an A/N of mine my idea to include what music I was listening to that set the mood for the story as I wrote it or what other inspiration I drew from. I feel that if I encourage my readers to listen to what I was playing while I wrote it, it could give this story or art form an added dimension for further enjoyment and understanding. Don't know if that interests you guys, but in any case for "Setsunai" I used two songs: 1. Song: "All I do", Artist: +/- (Wicker Park OST), 2. Song: White Poem I, Artist: X/Yoshiki ... Let me know what you guys think of that idea of the added dimension.. If this does interest you guys, first please let me know! And for people who do not have the songs I might be using, I will upload them myself, link them here, and make them available to you so that you can join in on this too 8] Just tryin' to see how I can make this even more fun and involved for you guys!

2] The more I think about it, the more this Setsunai seems like it could be a one chapter spin-off or could be fit into TnK (I literally just conceived of and wrote Setsunai just today)... Now I'm actually thinking I *could* do a spin-off of TnK that's about hide x Yoshiki.. Or even a Pata and Heath spin-off if you would like to see more of that relationship. Well, you guys get the idea! So please let me know what you guys think about that! I'd appreciate it.

**ABOUT SETSUNAI:** The word "setsunai" is one that is pretty hard to translate into english since it's used to describe a Japanese feeling... The meaning can be described a couple of different ways. I think the best words would be "bittersweet" and "cruel", but please don't limit it to that. The meaning is far deeper than that. The way I've found it's been best explained is through this example: The Japanese describe the Sakura as "setsunai". The Sakura is something so beautiful, yet in a bittersweet sense, because they only blossom for an extremely short period of time before they die or are washed away by the rain (only about 1-2 weeks out of the year). But it is also because of this very short life span (in bloom) that they can be appreciated and respected much more. Because of this short life span, their beauty is be appreciated even more, as opposed to something you would be able to see every single day... This idea of "setsunai" tends to remind me of hide's inner and outer beauty which was unfortunately cut short.

**LAST NOTE:** I used very little Japanese in this story. I believe I only used "genki?" (how are you?), "gomen ne" (I'm sorry), and "Aishiteru" (I love you).
