February 14, 1999

Airi's PoV

It was such a happy day for girls to give the guy they had a crush on chocolate or whatever they decided. Outside snow was falling on the ground, frosting the earth. Surely it would make a memorable day. Even if it was cold, snowflakes and watching couples hold hands matched together in harmony right? I sighed and continued to gaze out the window. I seem lost in the cotton-like flurries, if only you knew... I finished writing a on a piece of paper my confession to the one I was going to hand my valentine too. I figured out what he liked thanks to a good friend of mine, who just happened to be his best friend. I smiled and walked out of the classroom. Even though this was his senior year I was only a Junior, but surely my feelings would reach to him in the most sincere way. I walked to his locker number and unlocked his locker and opened it to only have several chocolates and letters fall out. I sighed and closed the locker door and began to walk away. I should have known this would be difficult. Though as I had began to walk away I heard someone calling out to me.

"Airi-chan!" Naoyuki exclaimed as he ran over to me. " Don't give up, set it on his desk. I forgot the two idiots Shinji and Takashi were also setting Kazumasa up."

"Oh, well where would it be safe?" I asked.

"I'll show you where I also showed your friends Sachi, Mia, Emi, and Aya-chan."

"Oh thank you Nao-kun," I said smiling and gave him a one-armed hug. He laughed.

"No problem~" He said and lead me to the classroom and I opened the desk and placed the small dish and letter inside, before closing it. "Now hurry before he returns," He added. I nodded and quickly left the room and went back to my homeroom, my heart pounding.

I wonder if all my efforts were worth it in the end? I gazed out the window to see the snow continuing to fall. Please...make my efforts worth it.

Kazumasa's PoV

"No seriously..." I trailed off.

"I can't say I or anyone else in this room believe you," Takashi said.

"Why not!?" I exclaimed.

"Because...those girls were only at our high school," Shinji said.

"I believe you Kazumasa," Naoyuki said.

"Well thank Nao at least someone believes me."

"Hmm...it is possible, it would be good to see them again. Did they say anything about a meeting?" Hiroto asked.

"Airi gave me her number and the other told me to tell you all hello and we should get together again sometime." I stated. "That's why I have no idea why you two idiots won't believe me."

"I think they just don't want to admit they miss the two who had had a crush on them~" Nao said grinning.

"Hey Nao! Don't make me force-feed you fish," Takashi threatened the poor drummer.

"That's so awful Takashi," Nao said fake crying. Shinji chuckled and so did Hiroto.

"Well alright, let's give it a try," Shinji said. "But do you have the courage to call Airi Kazumasa?" He teased.

"Of course I do my god you think I don't have experience with women Shinji??" I asked him.

"Well just saying sometime I think Takashi over does it," Shinji said chuckling.

"Oh shut the hell up you bastard," Takashi said.

"You both are ignorant." I sighed and stood up walking out of the practice room and slid my phone open before dialing Airi's number. Before I pressed the call button memories began to flood over me.

"Hey Kazumasa," a group of girls in the hallway said as they smiled. I just slightly smiled and walked on to my locker. I was going to have English class. Though when I arrived at my locker I seen some chocolates on the floor and opened it to see there were still some. I sighed and grabbed my book before walking to my classroom. I really had no idea why these girls had such a crush on me. Some I didn't even know! Once I walked into class I saw my friends Takashi and Shinji shocked , and a happy looking Nao holding a note. I raised a brow before sitting at my desk. I opened it to see a small dish the aroma of potatoes and a letter. I opened the letter and began to read it.

I know you may have received a ton of Valentine's today, but I just wanted to say I really appreciate you. I would be extremely glad if I could be your friend. I heard you liked Potatoes so I decided to make you something with potatoes, I only hope you like it. If you decide not to befriend me, I will also understand. You probably have so many girls after you, you will disregard this note entirely. I can only say I may have more things in common with you, than you might know. Happy Valentine's day.

Tamuro Airi

"What does yours say Kazumasa?" Shinji asked me.

"Do I have to tell you?" I asked.

"Must of been something pretty deep then," Takashi said serious for once.

"I think this is a good thing," Nao said.

"It could also be troublesome," Takashi said.

"I agree, but out of the others these girls are different," Shinji said. "So maybe we should talk to them."

"I think so too," Nao said nodding. I looked at my friends before taking the dish out of my desk and setting it on the surface, opening the lid and saw a very delicious looking potato and saw a spoon in the container as well and took a bite.

"This potato is amazing," I said and continued to eat it, though had to quickly put it away once more people filed in the room. "We'll see them after school."

They nodded and I smiled a bit.

I snapped back to reality and pressed the call button as the phone rang on the other end I awaited for an answer from the girl I had feelings for in high school.

"Moshi moshi." She answered.

"Airi, it's me," I said.

"Kazumasa, it's nice to hear from you."

"So, when would you like to hang out?"

"Well are you guys going to have free time tomorrow?" She asked.

"Actually we are free tomorrow, where would you like to go to meet up?" I asked.

"How about we meet at Starbucks?"

"Sounds good," I said.

"Great, even though some of them might leave, that's okay though. I will see you tomorrow at eleven then?" She suggested.

"That works. I will see you tomorrow at eleven then Airi," I said smiling a little.

"Bye, have a good rest of the day."

"Thank you, you too." I then hung up and walked back into the room. "Guys tomorrow at eleven we are meeting them at Starbucks."

"Sounds good," Nao said smiling. I nodded.

"Now let's finish up practice." I stated and grabbed the mic as I waited for them to prepare themselves to practice. Even though I was very happy about meeting Airi and knowing more about her now, I was a bit nervous.
