Their Little Rhythm

"Tell me again why I said you could pull me to an Opera?" Synyster Gates asked his friend and leader M. Shadows. This was the worst idea that his dear old friend has had in a long time, seriously, a Broadway show called "Repo! The Genetic Opera"? How thick could Shadows possibly get? 'I think his age has finally gotten to him' Synyster thought waiting for the show to start boredly. His face on his hand his index finger resting on his left high cheek bone and the rest covering his mouth. His plain black fedora resting on his now long hair, why did he cut it if he was going to just let it grow back again? Oh yeah, made him feel a bit in the now when it was short...well to damn bad it grew back and he wasn't looking any older than he had the last...'Stop that thought right there!' he thought. He hated when his age came up to face him all over again, he felt old each and every time it did, but his physique wasn't getting any older thank goodness.

"Because there is a curtain guitarist I'm interested in that plays the music for when they sing and I thought you three would be very interested in him" Shadows responded looking at the stage hoping to get a glimpse of the guitarist he was looking for before the show began, but it was useless. The curtain's were drawn very close keeping the stage out of sight until they all set up the stage, and the actors and actresses got ready. "Where is this guitarist guy then?" The Reverand Tholomew Plague asked him impatiently, he too, not being able to see what is going on backstage behind the curtains. "Patience is a virtue my love" Johnny said patting the impatient mans hand before intertwining their fingers together, being the only one patient of the four.

When the first song was going to come on they closed the curtains quickly to set everything up for the band, dancers, and singers. When they re-opened them the stage was set as a graveyard, a few fake bodies positioned here and there to keep the theme going for the storyline. "Where's the band?" The Reverend Tholomew Plague whispered looking for drums or synthesizers, a DJ stand even, but, after he looked around, there was no one there. That is, until one of the statues holding a guitar moved from it's kneeling position and the guitar was soon positioned in front of the gray statue. The melody coming from it woke up Synyster from the nap he was taking, he had been completely unimpressed with the opening and had drifted to sleep on his hand. He sat leaning more forward in his seat so he could see the person playing such beautiful music and when the rest of the band started up he only focused his attention on the guitarist that had captured his heart with the melody that he was forced to play for the Opera. "The guitarist that first started playing is amazing, but he's lacking luster and focus. Like he doesn't want to play it, but he does anyway" Synyster said observing the guitarist. The people in front of him shushed him, more interested in the singing than the playing. "If you'd pay attention to the beat of a song first and not the singing you'd get the whole point of this Opera" Synyster told them jabbing them with his words of wisdom. "I am thirty years your senior young man and very skilled in the knowledge of Opera" the old man bickered at him. Synyster wanted to rip his head off and eat his tongue straight from his mouth, but he remained composed. "If you know so much monsieur, then please I inquires to the name of the guitarist up there" Synyster said to him wanting to change the subject and not actually fight with him. "His name is Zachary Baker, and he will never look at a group like you twice" the old man said finishing the argument and going back to watching the performance. Synyster snickers before saying "We'll see about that".

Synyster leaned back and smirked, "Got the name you were searching for. Now lets get out of here, Papa Gates said that he'd pick us up in fifteen minutes if we had the name you had wanted" Synyster whispered to Shadows. "Alright, lets go. We don't need to stay for the whole thing then" Shadows answered before making Johnny and The Reverend Tholomew Plague get up. "Aww we aren't staying?" Johnny asked actually liking the Opera that was being performed. The guitarist had really captured his attention and it seems the spell hasn't been broken from him just yet, being the youngest had it's disadvantages when you get captured into a melody like that.

They finally got Johnny to get up, and, as they were leaving their seats, Synyster looked toward the guitarist once more and was soon caught in the boy's jade green gaze. The boy's mind must have gone on auto-pilot, because his fingers were still playing the melody still, but his eyes were locked to Synyster's. Synyster smirked and mouthed "I've captured you my little rhythm" before moving away and letting Shadows out and they all walked toward the exit of the building.
