Finally! That was so good, the innocence/vunerability of it all made it so much more believable. Yay Jebbie for being the reasoning voice. Brilliant chapter. Also, Kelly's blog on Kanye really was made of total win! The girl simply said what many were thinking, only in a much more awesome way.

Awww, loved the not quite a date chapter, it was adorable! So cool to see Carrie reassure Kelly with such ease. Again, this chapter, the date was full of cute moments, but I literally swore out loud when Carole walked in on them! She was MAD, which while expected was still freakin scary. The poor girls! I thought it was great again how Kelly/Carrie looked out for one another especially in such a stressful situation. I really hope Stephen can do something, I don't want them to be apart! Very exciting update, I'm looking forward to the next.

Haven't been here in a while buuut I've just gotta say that I couldn't agree more with freudianslip about how most fanfic has gone to the shitter in recent times. Writers lack creativity these days. Most fic is unrealistic, predictable, lacking any unique qualities, and follows a formula. I can't read angst stories any more because of how redundant that genre's gotten. What I'm saying is I fucking love how you build up and layout your stories. Teheheh, that whole first date nervous thing was utterly adorable. And the way Carrie handles Kelly... she's a pro. OMG. Bandies unite. Even though Kelly had a minimeltdown because some things got lost in translation it was still so unbelievable cute! I missed this site.

You know, I have to thank you for introducing me to a surprisingly absorbing pairing-based fandom. Kelly/Carrie is a pretty unique pairing to me and I have to say I am loving this story a lot. I'm working reading some of your other Kelly/Carrie stories. You're a really good writer and story teller and in this story the relationship seems real. The instant chemistry that really does occassionally happen in real life, the slow, but steady progression of their relationship, their 'dating before they're actually dating' stuff. It just seemed to flow naturally and was very believable. I'm loving it and this story has made me fall in the love with this pairing/fandom.
You know lately I've been less and less impressed with fanfiction. It used to be so great to read, but those who write it are caring less and less about decent grammar, spelling things right, formatting paragraphs and sentences, and actually having a story line. They're all about getting the two characters they like to be together, no believable or well written story being told, full of bad grammar, misspellings, and just garbage. It's discouraging to see something I've loved for the better part of a decade fall into something so unrefined. I blame twilight. While it's decent story telling, it's absolutely horrid writing. With that as a model for teenagers, no wonder there's so much garbage filling up fanfiction websites. But you know, from time to time I stumble upon gems. Gems that shine with decent grammar, decent spelling, a good story being told with great characters and well written character development. They're stories that remind me why I fell in love with fanfiction so many years ago, that remind me why I so enjoyed exploring stories beyond 'canon' universes and exploring the kinds of things other fans can think up. And occassionally I stumble upon a story, when I'm bored and just browsing, that opens me to a new pairing or a completey new fandom that I was unaware of before. Yours is one of those gems and it has introduced me to a new pairing fandom that I'm really falling in love with. I just wish there was more out there.
But really I just have to say thank you for writing such a great story and reminding me why I still surf these fanfiction websites every few days and search through garbage to find that rare treasure I know is hidden somewhere.
