Chapter 10

Tia closed her eyes as she felt Orli’s hands on her body. It was almost too much.
“Orli.” She said. Her voice just a whisper.

“Shhh.” He had felt her body stiffen when he touched her. He ached to drop the cloth back into the water and move his hands around to caress her breasts. He glanced over he shoulder and could see the curve of them just below the water. The sight made his blood boil. He glanced at her neck. She had piled her hair on top of her head. A few stray curls rested on her shoulders. He gently massaged her back with the cloth.

“Mmm….that feels so nice.” She said. The sound of her voice caused him to shiver. He quickly rinsed the cloth and brought it so that the warm water cascaded down her back.

“Need help washing anything else?” he asked. Snapping Tia back into reality. She swung her head around.

“No. Thank you.” She said in a quick, short voice. He moved to the side of the tub and sat there looking at her. He lazily ran his finger in the water. She watched every move he made. His eyes met hers. Tia could feel the heat radiating between them. The room suddenly seemed stifling.

“Um, are you hungry?” she asked. For you he thought.

“A little. I didn’t stop on the way to eat.”

“Okay. Well, why don’t I get out and rummage through the fridge. See what I got.” She put her hands to the side of the tub to push herself up, but then remembered that he was still sitting there. He noticed her movements and stood up himself. He noticed that the bubbles in the tub were beginning to fade. Granting him access to further view her body. He reached over and grabbed a towel off of the bar. He held it open for her, but turned his head and closed his eyes. She cautiously stepped out. Quickly grabbing it from him and wrapping the towel around herself.

“Thank you Orli.”

“Anytime love.” He turned and walked out of the bathroom. Leaving Tia there to let out the breath that she had been holding. She heard his footsteps down the stairs. She hurried to her room to dress. Shorts and a t-shirt.

She wondered how long he would stay. How long he would wait for her to talk to him. How long before the tension between them broke. How much he would hate her when she told him the real reason why she left.

Tia hurried down the stairs and found him in the kitchen. He was giving some of the cats a saucer of milk.

“You’re going to spoil them.” She said moving to the fridge. He looked up, a lopsided grin on his face.

“Can’t help it. Are you going to let me spoil you?” Tia chose not to answer him.

“So, what are you hungry for? I don’t have much. Probably have to go to the store in the morning.” She looked around the fridge. There wasn’t much in there. “Pasta with homemade sauce?”

“Sounds great. I’ll be right back.” He said and walked out of the kitchen. Tia worked on getting dinner started. She wondered where he had gone. She got her answer a short time later as he returned. Carrying some candle holders and candles and placed them on the table.

“Can’t have pasta without candles.” He said. He sat down and watched as she cooked. “Need help with anything?”

“No. Thank you.” She turned to look at him. He was flipping through a magazine. “What are you looking at?” she asked. He turned it back to the cover to see what it was.

“Cosmo.” Tia turned back to watching the pasta boil and roll her eyes.

“Which article are you reading?”

“Six signs you’re really meant for each other.” Tia dropped the spoon she had been holding. She quickly picked it up and rinsed it off. “Shall I read them?” he asked. Watching her every move. She began shaking inside. Was he really going to do this to her?

“You know, you can’t believe everything you read in those silly articles.”

“Well, let’s see.” Tia drained the pasta and sat down at the table across from him. Watching him as he read. He glanced up as she sat down. Wondering what she would say.
