Right Kind Of Wrong
Chapter 14
By the looks Carrie continued to give me throughout the day I had enough sense to send Emma back to the hotel early with Ashley. I hung around waiting for everyone else to leave before making my way out towards the car park. As I turned the corner my eyes caught Carrie leaning against my car, waiting for me.
'You can't be that forgetful........did they leave you again.'I shouted softly from across the car park. She smiled shyly at me but didn't attempt to speak. 'You OK?.......' She was biting on her bottom lip like before, the action was sending dangerous thoughts through my mind. She would look really good laying in my back seat.
'What are you doing after this week..........I mean are you staying in La?............' I laughed causing her to slip her bottom lip between her teeth again.
'You really are forward tonight..........' She let go of her lip and smiles at me.
'Sorry I was practising my talk with you in my head before you came............I guess I got a little over exited...........' I laughed again, her honesty was so cute. I just wanted to press her up against the side of the car and have my way with her.
'OK........well I don't know what I'll be doing.........I have a week off before I have to be in New York...........'
'Did you look at those things I printed off for you?..........' I shake my head at the sudden change of topic.
'I glanced a little.........' I open the car door for her and let her get in. I take my time walking round to my side, her eyes never leave mine. I'm really not sure If she knows what's she's doing to me or not. 'Why?......' I ask her as I slid into my seat.
'If I get through..........'I want to tell her she's through but Simon would kill me. 'My friends and I are going to a camp...............'I smirk but quickly stop when I see she is serious.
'A camp?........Like a summer camp?.......'
'Well since it's the middle of winter I don't think so silly..........' She gave me a pet name. I want to melt even if it is mildly offending. 'It's for kids who don't have a lot...........just a week of fun before Christmas...........I just thought.......'She turns away from me till she's facing her window. 'Maybe you could come with me.........I'm sure the kids would love to see you.........'
'Your asking me to go away with you for a week?.........' This girl really was confusing. I was sure she would never want to be near me ever again.
'I know it's probably not allowed........rules of the competition and everything but I think it would be good........and no one here needs to know about it............' She biting her lip again which makes me just want to agree with everything she says.
'I really don't know what to say Carrie.......I mean I'm sure it would be good.......'
'For the kids.......'Carrie adds.
'For the kids.......' I repeat. 'But why me? I'm not very good with kids.........'
'You could sing to them........we could have an end of the week concert with them.........Oh come on Kelly it would be so much fun...........' She bouncing around in her seat talking to me like we've been friends for years and I can't help myself. I may be setting myself up for disappointment but I have to do it.
'Yes......'I blurt out before I can even think.
'Yes..........'She's happy and smiling and I'm melting right there in front of her. 'And while we're there we can talk about your little problem...........' I'm lost for a second. I didn't know I had a little problem. 'You know........'She wiggles her eyes and I know right away what she's talking about. 'There is always cute guys at this camp..............'I nod and smile and start up the car. I'm completely screwed. Not only am I crushing out on the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. But that beautiful girl just happens to be a homophobe. Although she has to be the sweetest homophobe I've ever met.
