The Secrets Between us

Carrie stood under the hot water letting it wash over her, she felt so dirty what was worse was how calm Kelly took the whole thing. The young Texan hadn't said a word about the stranger in Carrie's bed she had acted like the whole thing hadn't happened. Carrie knew Kelly was going into that dark place in her mind where she went when life got to hard whenever that happened it took so much energy from Carrie to pull her out of it, she worried if she could this time. She knew Kelly's views on cheating, she had listened to the stories of her parents marriage and everything with David to do this to her was the worst thing she could do. But was it cheating they hadn't been together they had broken up mouth's ago was it really cheating?



"Carrie ive got some clean clothes for you sitting on the bed when your finished your shower"Carrie could see Kelly standing at the open door of the bathroom through the shower curtain.



"Eh... thanks Kel"



"no problem.....coming out any time soon?....."



"just coming"



"good here's your towel"Kelly's voice suddenly became closer as the shower curtain was pulled back revealing the young Texan holding out a towel towards Carrie.



"emmm.... naked here Kelly"



"Seen it all before Carrie........come on"Kelly wrapped the towel around the taller girls body rubbing over her back as she tried to help her dry.



Carrie looked towards the bed it had fresh covers on it the whole room had been cleaned up,she recognised the new covers from somewhere. Like she read her mind Kelly reminded her why.



"They're from my bed in Texas..... i take them to hotels with me in case i start to feel homesick.."of course they were the covers she and Carrie had bought for her house in Texas, Carrie had loved wrapping herself around the soft covers she had told Kelly it had always made her feel safe to have them around her. part of her thought that had something to do with Kelly being in the bed too but the covers really did help.



Carrie realised she was only in a towel as she saw the pile of clothes sitting on the bed next to Kelly.



"I should change"



"Dont..... i have all this inside of be let out and if you disappear into that bathroom again god knows when you might come out..... so just sit and listen ok?"



"ok"Carrie sat at the other end of the bed hugging the towel closer to her body, she watched Kelly move towards her until their arms were touching. side by side they sat looking at the wall in front of them as Kelly started to talk.



"Firstly i think we need to stop all this....we need to rewind..need to go back, its got so out of control car how did we get to this?"



"Kelly i..."



"no it wasn't a question,just thinking out loud...sorry"Carrie smiled at this, Kelly could always make her smile even in the most serious of situations."god i remember when we met... that night was so magical just thinking about still gives me that warm feeling i had that night."



"Kelly i know things went wrong for us but you have to believe me when i say i didn't stop loving you..... life just got in the way and things i couldn't control happened....please believe me when i tell you that everything i did was for you."Kelly jumped from the bed.



"no Carrie.....you cant blame me for your drinking you cant blame me for your out of control actions that last few months of our relationship.......you cant blame me for what you did last night. i didn't do anything wrong for you to act that way so don't say you did it for me... ok?" Kelly let out a long breath as she sat next to Carrie again both of them returning their eyes towards the wall.



Carrie knew this was it,she had to tell Kelly all about Clive open up to her....maybe it wouldn't be so bad maybe Kelly would know what to do to fix things.



"Clive.......Kelly Clive knows about us.......he made me end things with you " Carrie shut her eyes waiting for Kelly to freak out waited for the anger to explode in the young Texan but nothing happened. she looked over to Kelly and saw she was crying."Kelly don't cry please...... i did it for you he told me i would ruin your career..... if your fans found out they would hate you.... i didn't want your fans hating you Kelly,you've worked to hard for this......"



"You really don't know my fans.."Kelly wiped away her tears before turning towards Carrie taking her hands in her own."So Clive told you if you didn't end things with me all this would happen........why did you let him put these thoughts in your head.....God Carrie your a smart person why would you let him play mind games with you like that."



"Kelly he seemed so sure of things......he talked about my family told me thi......."



"ok ok i get it i do........ he knows how to push your buttons but baby why didn't you tell me......we didn't have to let this get so far......if you would just have told me i would i have fixed it."Carrie really didn't hear what Kelly was saying after the word baby she just kept replaying it in her head.

"say it again Kel"



"what... i would fix it...you kno...."



"No say baby again.....its been so long since anyone called me it... ive missed it"



"you know your my baby.....you've always been my baby"Kelly turned fully towards Carrie letting wrap herself around her body. Kelly pulled Carrie onto her knee holding the girl as close to her as she could.



"Kel im so sorry about late night i really don't remember anything"



"Car we need to stop this.......i don't want to live in the past......we need to get by all this bs and be happy again.... you want to be happy right"



"god yes"Kelly let out a little giggle.



"So it ends we start a fresh."Kelly left a small kiss on the side of carries head,letting the young singer snuggle into her body even more.



"Kel?"



"Yeah Carrie"



"I know im going to sound stupid at this moment but are we back together."Kelly let out a loud laugh throwing herself and carrie back onth the bed so the young singer was now on top of Kelly.



"yeah baby we're back together."
