"Bam...?" Ville whispered, his voice laced with traces of shock, lust and amazement. Bam smiled and nodded.
"Ville," He whispered in response to his husband. Holding out a hand to the widowed man, he laughed as the Finn gasped in shock and the realization that the man in front of him was...real...
"What are you?" Ville questioned, taking his husbands hand, standing with his help. Bams eyes began to shine with fresh tears, looking so much like his eyes did in death, it scared Ville so, yet, reassured him that the man before him was his husband.
"I don't know Ville, but I know why I'm here...I need to help you move on...not one day has gone by since my death that you haven't cried for me. Ville, babe, its been a year. I know its hard, but all I want in death is for you to be happy," The dead man stated, looking firm, yet concerned.
"All I need to be happy is to have you by my side...alive..." Ville whispered, warm salty tears escaping from his reddened eyes like they were broken. Bam sighed and reached over to the singer, wiped away his tears.
"If only I could...I can't be here for long...only until you are happy," Bam informed the crying man in front of him.
"Then you will never go, for I can never be happy without you..." Ville whispered, allowing for a few seconds, his anger at Bams untimely death to escape his lips. Bam looked at his feet, chewed his lip.
"What about little April..." Bam said, choking back a sob. How he longed to see his daughter, to hold her in his arms, to tell her how much he loved her... Villes face lit up at the mention of his only child, his smile filled his face, his eyes sparkled with excitement rather than tears.
"She gets more and more like you every day," The Finn said, his voice filled with pride, his face alight with happiness.
"She needs to be like you Willa, I'm an N'idiot, your smart, beautiful, everything any one person could wish to be..." Bam trailed of as his grief engulfed him, hide his face in his hands.
"As are you my love, you may be gone, but I think of you everyday, our daughter lives through you and she couldn't be more perfect," Ville whispered, choking on his own words that were filled with emotion. Bam, instead of responding, pulled his husband into his arms, hugged him lovingly, covered him in passionate kisses.
"I love you so much Willa, please promise me you will try to be happy, even though I'm gone..." He cried. "Its all I want...all I ask for..."
"I promise you Bammie...but please...can I kiss you one last time?" Ville asked, trying, yet failing, to hold in his tears. They flooded his cheeks, and dripped steadily to the ground, but Ville didn't bother to wipe them away. Slowly, Bam lent over and kissed his husband softly on the lips.
"Lie with me?" Bam requested, pulling away. "I want to fall asleep in you arms...a sleep I'll never wake up from..." Ville never said a word, simply nodded. Together, the married couple lay down upon Bams grave, Bam laying on Ville's chest, Villes arms wrapped around the skater. "Sing to me..?" Bam asked. "I miss your beautiful voice,"
"I'm in love with you, and it's crushing my heart, all I want is you, to take me into your arms. When love and death embrace..." Tears poured down the singers face as, for a second time, his husband went limp in his arms.
"I'll be happy Bam, I promise..." He whispered, kissing the dead mans lips.
Waking up, Ville found himself in a hospital room chair, Bam in a bed by his side, hooked up to god only knows how many machines.
"Oh my God..." He whispered, looking at the date. He'd gone back a year, to the day of Bams death. Only, Bam wasn't dead, he was alive, in a bed right in front of him. Had the last year, the moments before he'd fallen asleep been just a dream. Despite his confusion, he took his husbands hand, kissed it. "Wake up Bammie.." his voice pleaded. Slowly, but surely, the hours passed, until midnight struck again, and it was then, that a pair of blue eyes opened, looked down on Ville.
"Villle?" Bam questioned, moving his hand slightly. Ville looked up with a smile, kisses the skater softly on the lips...
"Your alive...How...I mean...it must have been a dream..." He whispered, deciding he must have been confusing the skater. Bam smiled, barely able to let out a laugh.
"You kept your promise Ville. You tried to be happy, to live, despite my death...and so you got me back..." He whispered, his face alight with pride. Ville let out a light chuckle, kissed his husband once again, deciding that he would grab hold of this second chance with everything he had, for love and death had truly embraced, and for that, he could not be more thankful...
