Chapter 2
Carrie placed her phone back into her pocket before breathing in deeply,Clive really did know how to test her.She had just heard that she would be joining Kelly Clarkson on tour,something anyone would jump at but for her it only brought up dread.She could say no to Clive stand up to him and tell him no but she knew that would never happen,She was the good girl.She did as she was told it was Kelly that was the strong one, something that Carrie admired greatly in Kelly.Knowing that sleep would never come tonight carrie slipped on her shoes and headed out to take her mind off everything.
Carrie knew the place to go, she knew it would bring up some bad feelings but she needed a drink.Slipping into the bar unnoticed she ordered her favourite before sliding into a booth in the corner.She hated that she was turning into something so antisocial but she needed to get her head sorted out, plus she hated the usual comments people were giving her theses days.Telling her she wasn't the same that she had changed, always wanting to know what happened to make her this way.What was she suposed to say she couldn't tell them the truth, oh how she wanted to but something always stopped her.Even her relationship with her family had changed there was no long drawn out phone calls to her mother just short chats before Carrie had to run off back to work.Carrie knew letting anyone close enough to her theses days would give away her secret.She made that mistake monthes ago letting someone see the real her and that person had destroyed her, she promised herself she would never let that happen again.from now on it was her alone and she was happy with that.Who needed them anyway.

"Ash why are we stopping? Kelly felt the car come to a stop, lifting her head up from her hands she looked at their destination."No no....ash please i just want to go home, i dont need this now."Ashley gasped in shock before laughing which made Kelly even more annoied that she already was, that only lead to ashley laughing more.
"when have you ever turned down a drink,now get your getto butt out the car now or im calling Jason to sing to you down the phone"Kelly winced at the thought, of all the talents the Clarkson kids had singing wasn't the one shared among them.
"hey now ash dont make threats like that" Kelly laughed to herself at the thought of her older brother singing, remembering the last time she witnessed his attempt,singing along to Aerosmith in his newly improved tractor."The boy really is bad isn't he"Ashley laughed removing herself from the car and heading towards to bar door.
Kelly followed her out, breathing in deep pushing any memory if this bar out of her mind,she couldn't let herself think about it, it was all in the past now and that is were it was going to stay.

carries eyes were forcused on the door when she saw it at first she thought she was seeing things but knew to well that it was real.She was really there laughing and enjoying herself.She watched the small figure cross the floor towards the bar watching her get onto her tip toes so she could place herself onto the bar stool,Carrie laughed at the scene infront of her.She quickly stopped when she felt that feeling again,she hadn't felt it in a few days but it was back.That feeling in the pit of her stomach no matter how much she tried to stop it it never went away.Carrie had found a great way of easing it though,she held it in the palm of her hand now.Drinking was the only way of forgetting about it all, the irony in that was it was drink that caused all the problems in the first place.

Something wasn't right with Kelly she couldn't shake the feeling she was getting it was making her want to get up from the bar and run.Ashley noticed her from the corner of her eye.
"Kel you ok?" Ashley placed her hand onto Kellys back rubbing it hoping to get kelly to open up.
"yeah im ok i think...... you ever get the feeling your being watched"Kelly scanned to bar watching the people around her.
"nope why would anyone be watching you i mean its not like your a pop star or anything."Kelly laughed hitting ashley on the shoulder causing ashley to yelp in pain."watch it clarkson im the one repsonable for your make up,you want a clown face for your next tv appearance?"
"thanks ash you always know how to cheer me up"Kelly jumped from her stool wrapping her arms around ashleys neck.
"hey thats what im here for,comic relief."Ashley kept her arms around kelly until she felt her friend release her.Ashley was used to Kellys affectionate nature it was nothing unusual about kelly grabbing you into her bear like hugs.She hadn't been doing it lately ashley have felt her friend slowly drift away from her and everyone around her.This show of affection was another sign that things were getting back to normal for the singer.

Carrie sat silently in the corner watching every move she made.she could see her slowly search the bar, what was she looking for carrie thought.Was she meeting something? oh god was it a date.Carrie couldn't sit and witness it she would have to leave or she would really cause a scene.Quickly downing her drink she slipped her jacket over her shoulders before looking towards the bar one last time.What she saw made her fall back into her seat in shock.
She couldn't believe it after all the talks they had had she was witnessing her worst fear.Kelly had promised her ashley and she were only friends but this scene infront of her was her proof of something else.she watched closely as ashleys hand gently rubbed up kellys back before resting ontop of kellys shoulder.Carrie could feel the stinging in her eyes she knew the tears were coming quickly wiping her face she made her way to the door her eyes never leaving the bar.She turned before leaving watching kelly slip her arms around ashleys neck, it made her sick seeing it.she finally had the proof she needed it was a fact now that kelly had lied to her all thoses monthes ago.letting the tears fall freely now she slipped out the door into the cold night air passing kellys black car in carpark.She stopped infront of it,the thoughts that were running through her head were so childish but she couldn't help it.Slipping her hand into her pocket she pulled out her house keys looking back at the bar shaking her head,she knew she was going to do it but that didn't stop the self loathing she was feeling now.She did it in one fast movement hoping no one witnessd her putting her keys back into her pocket she took one last look at her handy work before disappearing into the darkness of the night.

"Ok Kelly say goodnight to your crowd we have to go."Kelly stopped singing waving her hands in the air.
"Goodnight new york i love la"blowing kissing in the air kelly was grabbed by ashley and dragged to the car.
"What the hell?"Ashley ran her hand over the door of the car tracing the large scratch.Kelly became suddenly quiet she knew what this was.they had joked about this before, it had all started with Carrie's song before he cheats.A running joke between them, kelly didn't see the funny side of it now.
