CHAPTER 27

As I ran out the door I realized it was raining. I could hear the water on the ground splashing under my feet as I ran to my car. I jumped in and started to drive away. I could still hear him calling my name in my head. The ran poured down on my windshield. I couldn’t believe he made me out to be a fool again. I was crying and sobbing. I can’t go home I need someone to talk to. Angie was out of town. I reached for my cell phone and called Dragon, I got the machine "Hey Drag, I know it’s late but I am on my way over." I pulled up in front of the house, jumped out and ran up to the porch. From the porch I could see my little car glistening under the street light. Dragon snatches the door open, "What Vin Diesel psycho-drama are you going through now?" She asked.

"God, can I get in the door first," I reply."

“You act like we have a lot of problems."

"You do, your both nuts."

"Your nuts, sitting in this house letting those bad ass kids drive you mad."

"Not this weekend. They are with their dad," she says with a big smile.

"Come on in, girl. What’s going on," she asks.

We went in and I began to tell here what happened. She couldn’t believe he would do something like that, she had me laughing and crying at the same time. She is so much fun.

Some how she comforts me and helps me deal with the problem for now. She understood how hard it was to lose the love of your life. Dragon pulled out a bottle of Vodka from her stash and we had a drinking and laughing good time. Ragging on men. Then next thing I know I am waking up on her sofa with a splitting headache. She was laying in wait with to aspirin for me and boy did I need it. I turned my watch around on my wrist and it was 2 o’clock. "I guess I have been sleep for a long time," I asked.

"Considering the fact you showed up here at 2am and we talked forever it seemed, you really didn’t sleep long at all," she said with a laugh.

"I left my cell phone in the car. Feel like running out to get it for me," I asked her.

"You are such a lazy lima bean."

When she brings my phone back I have about 30 missed calls, 25 from Vin and the others all business related. Drag and I decided to hang out for the day. Going back to my house first so I could change and then off to run some errands and last to our reading fhe whe week.
