'I'm sorry' Carrie said as she moved closer to Kelly on the sofa.
'You call in the middle of the night telling me my daughter was going crazy' Jeanne stood in front of them looking down at Carrie. Carrie did want to say she called at 9 pm which wasn't the middle of the night but the look on Jeanne's face made her hold her tongue.
'Again sorry.' Carrie really would like to say more but Jeanne only paused for two seconds at a time.
' I race up here in the middle of the night to find she OK.' Kelly placed her hand over her mouth so Jeanne wouldn't see her giggling.
'Really sorry.' Carrie was boring herself now, and Kelly's giggling really wasn't helping.
'The deer Carrie...the poor deer......didn't even see me coming' Jeanne finally stopped and sat down next to Jason.
'Yeah you should have seen it's face Carrie' Jason continued. ' It was like a .....well like a deer in headlights' The whole room broke out in laughter except from Elle who sat on Ashley's knee.
'It's not funny....Grandma killed Bambi.' Elle's words only caused Kelly to laugh harder, thankfully everyone else stopped.
'Sorry baby...sorry.' Kelly tried to stop laughing but was finding it difficult. ' It's just Grandma kind of funny when she's mad.' Kelly looked at her mother who really wasn't laughing now. 'What you are.'
'Oh I give up....im going to lay down.....Jason get the backs.' Jason stood up saluting his mother as he marched to the car. Elle did what she always did when Uncle Jason was around, she followed him out.
'Oh wait.' Kelly called. ' He's not allowed alone with her.'
'No no Kelly that was a joke......just no swear words' Ashley pointed to Jason as a warning. 'So Kel you OK really?' Kelly nodded at Ashley's question. ' Hey girly this is me......the truth.' Kelly had forgot how pushy her best friend really was.
'I promise im good ash.' Kelly gave a side ways smile towards Carrie that didn't go unnoticed by Ashley.
'Oh...I get it.......I bet your good...bet miss blondie is too.' Ashley winked as she followed Jason and Elle out the front door.
'Did she just wink at me' asked a confused Carrie.
'Yeah....she does that' Kelly shrugged.
'Yeah well tell her not to.....freaks me out.'
'People winking freaks you out' Kelly asked.
'Yeah'
'Why' Kelly laughed.
'Cause.' Kelly rolled her eyes at Carrie's short answer.' OK cause I cant do it myself...happy now....I cant wink...you happy.'
'Yeah.' Kelly smiled. ' I am actually....... really happy.' Carrie smiled as she felt Kelly pull her into a kiss. Maybe this moving on thing would be Easier for Kelly than she thought.
