Something Interesting
Hotel Paper
Okay, not only do I have this chapter up, but I also have chapter 4 up. Oh and while I wrote most of this chapter, I listened to Michelle Branch's "Hotel Paper." That's pretty much how I came up with the title for this chapter! Okay, please read. Thanks!
"Hello?" It was Joel’s mother, Robin. Why is she calling here? Joel thought. He wasn’t sure, but he wanted to find out.
"Oh hey Mom. What’s up?"
"Nothing much. I just wanted to see how you were doing, that’s all," Robin said. Joel wanted to tell his mom about what was going on between him and Billy right now, so he asked her if she wanted to come over. She said she would and that she would be there in an hour.
"Okay, Mom. I’ll see you in an hour. Love you. Bye!"
"Bye." As soon as she said that, Joel hung up and got out of bed. He woke up Billy and Billy followed him into the living room. About an hour later, they heard a knock at the door and Joel got up and walked toward the door.
"Hi, Mom. Just come in and find a place in the living room to sit," Joel said.
"Thanks, Joel. I’m glad to see you."
"I’m glad to see you too, Mom," Joel said, smiling. "So, what’s up?"
"I just wanted to talk to you and see how you were doing, that’s all."
"Mom, Billy and I have something to tell you. Just promise me that you won’t freak out, okay?" Joel asked his mother, worried that she might freak out about Billy’s pregnancy.
"Of course not, dear. You know that you can tell me anything."
"Okay, Mom," Joel said, taking a deep breath. "Billy and I are going to be parents. Billy is pregnant. That’s what I wanted to tell you," Joel said, feeling relieved that he finally got that off his chest. His mother looked at him and he thought she was going to freak out, but she didn’t.
"Mom? Are you okay?" Joel asked his mother, worried.
"Yeah, I’m fine. I’m just a little shocked, but other than that, I’m fine. My baby’s all grown up!” After she said that, Joel and Robin hugged and she headed towards the door.
"It’s good to see you again, Robin," Billy said.
"It’s good to see you again too, Billy. Good luck with the pregnancy."
"Thanks. Bye."
"Goodbye." After she left, Joel stood up and walked over to Billy.
"Do you think we should tell the others?" Joel asked Billy. Billy nodded, picked up the phone, and dialed the number to one of their friend’s’ house.
"Hello?" The voice on the other end said.
"Hey, Chris, what’s up?" Billy asked. He wanted to tell his friends about his condition, so he asked Chris if he and Paul wanted to hang out.
"Sure. Where, at our place or yours?"
"It doesn’t matter."
"Okay, we’ll be over in a half an hour. Bye!"
"Bye!"
"Who was that?" Joel asked.
"Chris. I want to tell them about my pregnancy. Also, I want to tell Tony and Benji as well," Billy said, in a shy voice.
"Okay, we’ll tell them "
"
"Okay."
Now all you have to do is review. Please review! Thanks!
