Kelly...Carrie...nice seeing you again."Both girls smiled politely at Clive before sitting next to Jeanne on the sofa.



"Mr Davis I called you here to keep you up to date on what's being going on in the girls life's..."



"Jeanne im well aware of what's been going on in the girls life's..... " Clive turned his attention towards Carrie. " Carrie your mother called me a few days ago in a horrible state.....she tells me Miss Clarkson is keeping you away from her...from your family."



"Oh come on..that's not how it happened." Kelly looked directly at Clive ignoring his partners. "you know all this is about you and me and nothing else....why are you dragging Carrie's family into this."



"Kelly please calm down....this wont get you anywhere."



"But mom he's"



"let him finish before you have your say." Jeanne gave her daughter a look.



"Fine...but he's talking crap." Kelly sat back against the sofa pushing herself closer to Carrie.



"thank you for that Jeanne......now as i was saying Carrie your mother was very concerned for your safety here.......she thinks you should be at home being taken care of by people who love you."



"She's with people who love her Mr Davis, i may not have known Carrie long but the short few weeks she's been around my house i have grown to love her very much.......and i certainly know my daughter loves her." Kelly smiled knowing her mother couldn't keep her mouth shut just as much as she couldn't.



"by all means Jeanne the little fling your daughter and miss Underwood are having doesn't really class as love.......as soon as another musician comes along Kelly's head will be turned and she will be off......and where does that leave Carrie......it leaves her alone and pregnant."



"My mom told you?" Carrie stood up shocked.



"Carrie your mother is worried sick about you...she's been crying on the phone to me everyday....your father wont speak to anyone...and its all she can do to stop your sisters coming up here and dragging you home......why must you insist on hurting your family like this.....all they want to do is love you."



"im...im not doing anything...all I want to do is live my life with the person I love." Carrie felt Kelly pull her back down gentle onto the sofa. she put her arm around the young blondes waist till her hand was resting on her stomach. Clive smiled at the young blonde.



"I understand what your family's concern is.......I can see that Kelly likes to keep a tight hold onto you."



"how dare you.....you cant talk about my daughter like that."



"Jeanne im trying to get through to Carrie here......im not just here as her boss but her friend too......Carrie and I have grown very close since her win on idol." Kelly rolled her eyes.



"I think im going to throw up."



"listen to me Kelly...... I have had nothing but problems from you since day one... we don't get along ive accepted that a long time ago but you will have to understand that I am your boss....you will have respect for me."



"I have a lot of respect for you Clive as a boss but as a person you really haven't gave me any reason to respect you."



"it comes down to this Kelly if you both don't do what I say then there will be no recording contract for any of you in the near future.........I have no time for this....so Carrie I have a plane ticket for you if you will pack a bag I will be waiting in the car......you have five minutes" Clive stood up politely nodding to Jeanne before he and his partners left the house. Carrie stood up after him making her way towards the stairs.



"Carrie where are you going" Kelly followed her out.



"you heard him Kel.......I have to do what he says..."



"what are you talking about....Carrie your not going anywhere......what's gotten into you." Kelly followed her up the stairs until she was in front of her at the top.



"Kelly you heard him........he'll end both our careers.....I cant do that to you.......I can accept that mine will probably be over because of this but I cant end yours...you've worked to hard for this." Carrie pushed herself past Kelly making her way towards the bedroom.



"your not leaving Carrie...... I don't care if I have to tie you to the bed your not going anywhere OK?" Carrie turned towards Kelly tears streaming down her eyes.



"please don't make this worse Kel........if we carry on with this your career will be over."



"Carry on with this?....... you make it sound like we are having a fling...what about all those words we just said to each other in this room ten minutes ago.......we are a family....you are not taking my family away from me......" Carrie fell to the bed sobbing. "I don't care how much you cry Carrie...your not leaving me.....if you think losing my career will be bad for me then how the hell do you think losing both of you will feel to me." Carrie looked up at her but couldn't answer through her tears.



"Kelly?" Jeanne stood by the bedroom door.



"yeah mom?" Kelly didn't look towards her mother she keep her eyes on Carrie.



"I've told Mr Clive to leave........I'll be downstairs if any of you need to talk.." Jeanne gently shut the bedroom door leaving the two lovers alone.



"Carrie calm down before you make yourself sick." Kelly lay down beside Carrie pulling the young singer towards her from behind. She rested one hand on top of stomach the other gentle rubbing the blondes hair.



"I..I...im sorry Kelly I just..."



"shhh.....car your upsetting the baby..stop crying please....please baby there's nothing to cry about.....you think he's the only record company in the world....there are plenty out there that would be happy to sign either one of us.....but none of that matters right now.....all that matters is that you calm down ok." she felt Carrie nod against her."good now shut your eyes and get some sleep OK.......everything will be OK when you wake up."



"will you be here?"



"yeah baby ill be right here still holding you." Kelly kissed the back of carries neck while rubbing her stomach gently."now sleep."
