'I don't know if I like this Carrie. ' Carrie sat with her mother and father in her bedroom, The Clarkson's still as loud as ever downstairs.



'What...mom come on...you must have known how I feel about Kelly.....this can't be a surprise.' Steve sat next to Carrie taking her hand in his.



'We aren't doubting your feelings Care bear.........but Kelly is married...she has a child....and from what I know she isn't gay.'



'Your fathers right Carrie.....what about Paul?....where is he?'



'He's not here mother....' Carrie stood up' Look she doesn't remember him......she's happy here and she is gay.....she told me she's always known' Carrie's parents looked at each other before Stephan spoke again.



'Carrie....you don't break up marriages.....You know this is wrong.....think of poor Elle...'



'No....Elle is safer with me. 'Carrie really didn't want to tell her parents something that Kelly might not want them to know. 'Look guys im happy your here I really am.....and don't worry about Elle or Kelly I promise I won't hurt them.....I'll look after them.....That's all I want to do.' Carrie sat down on the bed again between her parents.' I just want to look after them.'



'Honey I have no doubt you will look after them and Im not worried about them.....I'm worried about you .....Carrie she's going to remember and she's going to go back to her husband......baby I just don't want to see you hurt.'

'So you think Carrie's OK up there?' Kelly asked her mother for the fourth time.



'She's fine Kelly ....they know she's gay.'



'God I can't believe Elle was so up front like that.....'



'Why can't you....she's always been.' Ashley commented.



'Really?.......God she really is my daughter.' Jeanne only nodded, she knew to well what Elle and Kelly were right. She could remember when Kelly's father left how the little blonde went around the whole town telling anyone who would listen how her daddy left her mommy. Elle was only doing what was natural, being a gossip was in her genes.



'Did I do something bad? ' Elle stood at the kitchen door watching her mother.



'No baby.....just keep the kissing thing in the family though.....the post man doesn't need to know. Kelly said as she picked up her daughter placing her on the kitchen table.



'Oh' Elle whispered.



'You already told him didn't you?'



'He asked'



'The postman asked if me and Carrie kiss?' Kelly quizzed her daughter.



'You were kissing Auntie Carrie in her sisters house....the postman asked where you were......I was to lie' Elle placed her hands on her hips.



'Don't give me cheek girl.......Just don't tell anyone else.....OK?' Elle nodded, she knew not to answer her mother back when she used that tone of voice.



'So' Ashley broke the sudden silence. ' Your gay now? ' Jeanne shook her head at Ashley before taking Elle back into the living room.



'Hey I want to know if she's gay or not.' Elle shouted as her Grandma carried her away.



'Love that girl' Ashley commented. ' so' She nudged Kelly's leg with her own.



'How can I answer that.... I don't even know the answer to that. ' Kelly tried to get out of saying anything but Ashley wasn't having any of it.



' OK lets have a test......You find me attractive?' Ashley stood up turning around. ' Well do I make you horny baby?' Kelly had to laugh at the bad Austin Powers accent.



' OK stop.......no... you don't.'



'Damn..... guess it's just the blondes you like.' Ashley sat back down. 'Seriously though.....this real....you and Carrie.'



' Real as can be.'



'Right........well I can't say im surprised.......sort of seen this coming.' Kelly laughed, Ashley was always ten steps ahead of her in most things.



'Well you could have gave me a heads up.'



'And spoil the fun of finding out.....Anyway... im happy ...real happy........just keep a hold of her OK?'



'OK.' Kelly sat looking at her coffee cup.



'OK what?' Ashley asked.



'what?'



'What's going on in that mind of yours.'



'OK...but don't tell Carrie OK?' Ashley nodded. 'OK well......ive been having little flash backs.....i had few dreams and well in one I was being beaten.' Kelly watched as Ashley held her breath, Slipping her hand into Ashley's she continued. ' At first I thought it was Carrie...that's why she dragged you up here......well I found out it wasn't Carrie but my so called husband...by the way we really will have to talk about why you let me marry this jerk. .........but anyway im still having this little flash backs and im still seeing Carrie.'



'But Kel you Carrie would never hurt you right?...... I mean I know you don't remember her but you know me and you know would tell you if I thought Carrie was bad for you.'



' I know she wouldn't hurt me......god just feeling her brush past me and my whole body vibrates.......I just wish these damn flash backs would either go away or get the person right. ' Ashley nodded, she really didn't know what to say to that. She knew it must be hard for Kelly going through all this without knowing what went on the years she can't remember.



' So I miss anything?' both were brought out their thoughts by Carrie entering the kitchen. ' Seems quieter down here......they leave?'



'Way to excited there Carrie' Ashley laughed as she walked past her out the kitchen.



'Sorry...I love your family really...just my heads a little sore.'



'Know what you mean' Kelly watched as Carrie took Ashley's seat.' Your folks OK?'



'They love you Kelly don't doubt that.'



'But they don't like the idea of us together.' Kelly said quietly.



'They worry that you might...well you might remember and want to go back to your husband.' Carrie had made a point of not telling Kelly Paul's name, she thought it would be better she only know what she needed to know.



'You know I won't right....you know I can't' Carrie nodded, she turned in her seat pulling Kelly into her arms.



' I know........they will too soon....they'll see how good we are.' Kelly nodded into her shoulder,both sitting in a comfortable silence holding each other as the clarkson's began a very loud game of I spy in the living room.
