Ok none of this is to bad... I mean we can live with this right?" Kelly and Carrie were sitting in Jeanne’s living room flipping through the Tv channels ,it seemed that every show was talking about them.



"you think....?Carrie really wasn't feeling like any of this was a good thing. She hadn’t wanted everyone to find out like this, she had friends and family members that she needed to tell before the rest of the world knew.



"Come on Car.....we've done it.. You know this was going to be hard and its finally over." Kelly placed her hands over Carrie's making the girl turn into her. "We need this out Carrie....now we have a few months before the baby comes to get used to everyone knowing."



"your right...I know your right but this isn’t how I wanted it....my mother had no right Kel." Carrie pushed herself off the sofa walking towards the window. She could see a group of men standing at the bottom of the closed gate of Jeanne’s garden. "look...look what my mother has done to us."



"Baby this was going to happen with or without your mother. "Kelly wrapped her arms around Carrie's waist as she pulled her back against her.



"Yeah I know....I guess I’m just finally letting myself get angry over it....I was too in shock before to think about it."



"I know....I’ve never seen you so assertive before.....it kinda made me hot." Carrie rolled her eyes before turning to watch the group of reporters outside again.



"Well cool yourself down again Kelly we are getting visitors." both singers jumped hearing Jeanne’s voice behind them.



"God mom..did you hear that."



"yes yes....an assertive Carrie makes my daughter hot...I’m very proud but now’s not the time for that ....we have visitors."



"who?"



"Reba....she called before you got back from la.....she wants to see you both." Hearing the back door being banged Jeanne left the room.



"Oh god Kel she’s here to kill me....." Kelly couldn’t help but smile, Carrie had always been a little afraid of Reba after their first meeting at an awards show.



"She wont kill you.....she'll wait till the babies born then kill."



"oh ha ha...I’m gonna throw up."



"don’t dare do it on my rug." Carrie looked up seeing Jeanne in front of her. She looked behind the older woman seeing Reba and her husband behind her.



"hey girls." Reba’s husband stepped forward first pulling Kelly into a hug before smiling at Carrie.



"Hey" Reba stood back her eyes glued to Carries stomach, Kelly could feel carries body stiffening beside her.



"Reba Narvel... I’m glad you came....i would have called....but you know well things got busy." Reba smiled sweetly at Kelly, the young Texan had became like a daughter to both her and Narvel.



"no need to explain Kelly.....so I’m guessing a congratulations is needed here...im happy for you." Carrie raised an eyebrow at the older singer, the words she was saying really weren’t matching the look on her face. Reba knew what Carrie was thinking. "ok ok maybe im a little shocked....I really didn’t expect to be sitting watching both of you express your undying love for one another on tv while announcing your expecting a baby......"Reba smiled shyly at her husband ." sorry hun i know you said not to say that."



"Reba you have every right to be shocked but please don’t think Kelly and i are jumping into this.......we have been in love for a long time......" Carrie was hoping the brave approach would make Reba not want to kill her.



"so your telling the truth....this is the real deal." Kelly smiled sweetly at Carrie before slipping her hand into the young blondes.



"yea.....everything’s real....us the baby...everything."



"told you."Narvel had taken a seat next to Jeanne. " i told Reba on the way up here it was real......she thought you were just doing it to follow in Lindsay Lohan’s footsteps." Kelly pulled a face looking at Reba for an explanation.



"yeah....well that’s not really....i didn’t really say that.... i mean." the group sat watching Reba try to come up with a sentence. "What i mean is i thought it was some public stunt by Clive......not that you both were wanting attention."



"its ok Reba....i get it....but no its not......plus Clive isn’t really happy about this."



"he’s making things hard?" Narvel went into manager mode.



"just trying to break us.....we're copying right baby?"



"yeah Kelly’s right....we can handle him?" Carrie was more sure of that now than ever. Clive couldn’t come between the pair now, by trying to break the pair up all he had down was drive them closer together.



"well girls if this is real....i truly am happy for you." Reba was smiling now Carrie had a feeling she was living to see another day. "oh Narvel and i have something for you." Reba signaled for Narvel to hand her the bag he was holding. "now i know this is really early but i couldn’t come here empty handed." Reba placed the bag onto carries lap as she took a seat next to her husband. Kelly smiled at the young blondes shocked expression as she opened up the bag.



"its..its a baby book."



"yeah Reba and i had one for Shelby when he was born.....we kept all his pictures in it......everything important that happened to him those first few years.....we thought you both would like to do that too....."



"yeah plus we watched the interview.....Kelly needs a place to put those scan photos." Kelly jumped up wrapping her arms around Reba’s neck.



"Thank you so much....this means so.... i just ....you both really didn’t have to do this."



"like i said Kelly we couldn’t come empty handed......just put it to good use ok." Kelly nodded jumping up running out the room leaving a rather confused Reba. Carrie couldn’t help but giggle, she knew exactly what her girl was doing.



"she’s getting the scans." Carrie watched Reba’s face soften.
