. “So October 10th ...............How does Carrie feel about that?”Kelly was sitting out back having lunch with Reba while Carrie and Jeanne Fixed out the baby clothes.
“Well It's nothing we can control....sure we hoped she would carry the babies full term but the doctor thinks this is for the best....so we're going ahead.”
“Honey the doctors know what their talking about... It's amazing what they can do these days....Some mothers are home the same day they give birth.” Reba was trying her best to reassure Kelly she knew the young Texan was worried about her family. They had never been through anything like this before and Kelly was starting to think things weren't going to go the way she wanted them to.
“I know your right Reba I just worry that we are getting in to deep now and we wont be able to handle things......What if I screw up and mess my kids life's up?”
“Honey I can sit here and tell you that parents never mess up......I had the same fears as you when I was becoming a mother but you'll see.....things work out .......when you hold those two little babies in your arms for the first time things will become so clear........plus you have Carrie with you and a house filled with people when ever you need us.......No ones going to let you do this alone....I promise.”
“ God I hope your right Reba .”
“Hey now girl..... I'm always right”

“So It's so Close now........Excited?” Jeanne was sitting across from Carrie on the large bed in Kelly's room helping the young blonde pick out her favourite outfits for the twins.
“Yes.......and no.” Carrie watched Jeanne closely for a reaction to her words.
“what do you mean yes and no?”
“I don't know if I'm really ready for all this.” Carrie waited for the famous Jeanne outburst but it didn't come.
“Honey we can't keep them in there........they need to see their mommy's....” Carrie Let out a laugh at Jeanne's childlike way of reassuring her.
“What I mean is they are safe here.” Carrie rubbed her stomach. “Here I can take care of them how I want........but....but when they come out then I have no control over what happens.”
“Honey of course you do......your their mother ......they will need you for everything.”
“Sure at first.......but what about when they get older.......start school......start dating......collage......oh god what happens when they get married........I'll be a grandma in no time.” Jeanne couldn't contain her laughing any longer.
“Honey honey.....that's a long way away.....right now just worry about what you need to you will learn to protect them for everything else when you need to.....OK?”
“If you say so.......but what about the press.......how can I protect them for that?” Carrie tried her best to hold herself together in front of Jeanne she hated showing anyone other than Kelly that she was really scared about things.
“A mother fights great strength when it comes to protecting her young.......You and Kelly will do a great job in knowing what to do and when to do it..........i have a lot of faith in both of you.” Carrie smiled, she knew Jeanne was right about everything , it felt nice to have her in their corner fighting for them. If only her real mother wasn't so pig headed about the whole thing maybe she could be here too having these little chats
