The Secrets Between us

Kelly lay still hoping not to disturb anything, she lay so close to Carrie she could feel her breath against her cheek. she watched the young blondes eyes twitch as she tried her best to pretend she was asleep.



“I know your awake” Kelly whispered into the dark.



“I know you know.......but I am trying to sleep..........you should too.”



“why”



“cause tomorrow we will become mothers and I think we need this nights sleep.” Carrie opened her eyes seeing Kelly staring back at her.



“come on.........this is our last night of freedom......after this it will be 18 years before we are completely alone again..”



“Come on kel........kids have to sleep too you know........im sure we will be alone again.”



“yeah in the darkness...”



“I happen to like you in the darkness.......” Carrie wiggled her eyebrows at Kelly hoping to turn her on a little only to have the young Texan laugh at her.



“that line was far to cheesy.......I think you need to brush up on your chat up lines babe.”



“oh you know that's not true.......ive got mad skill yo.”



“OK OK ......don't make me laugh at your hours away from being a mother.........you cant be gangsta now.....those days are over baby.” Kelly watched carries shocked expression.



“how dare you.......my gangsta days have just begun...........you ready to be my woman” Carrie tried a gangster hand movement that only caused her to poke Kelly in the eye.



“oww”



“oh baby I'm sorry........are you OK?” Kelly sat up rubbing her eye.



“yeah yeah car im fine........but your gansta days are over right?”



“I think your right......let me look at your eye......” Kelly let Carrie take care of her eye letting her run her lips over the closed lid making sure the pain was gone.



“are we crazy car?”



“In what way?”



“well tomorrow will be the biggest day of our life's and here we are talking about rubbish.......shouldn't we be growing up right now........I cant imagine my parents laying in bed talking like this the night before I was born.”



“yeah they were probably wondering where they could sell you” Kelly smacked carries arm.



“oww......joking......god I'm the hormonal one not you.”



“That ends tomorrow too......no more mood swings” Carrie gave Kelly an odd look.



“what mood swings?”



“well.... you know car?”



“no I don't.....what mood swings are you talking about.......I think ive been really good.” Kelly sat up watching Carrie closely.



“oh you have been...... ive was talking about my mood swings......ive been a complete bitch........glad that will be over tomorrow.” Kelly lay back down again trying not to look Carrie in the eye.



“yeah sure......that's what your talking about..” Carrie turned a little away from Kelly.



“oh no no no......we arent fighting tonight......nope not gonna happen baby.......turn around..........Carrie turn around” Carrie turned to look at Kelly. “ that's better now. We wont fight and you wont get huffy OK ........tomorrow will be the happiest day of our life's so lets not start it off on the wrong foot.”



“your right baby.......I know you were talking about my mood swings.” Kelly shook her head.



“I'm not saying a word............lets just sleep baby........we can have these silly little fights any day but tonight I want to hold my girlfriend and my babies and have a good nights sleep.....what do you say.?”



“I say that's a great idea.........” Carrie turned pressing her back against Kellys front as close as she could get. She wanted to feel all of Kelly this was the last time she would feel her girlfriend and her kids all together,she wanted to keep that feeling as long as possible.
