“Hey, Billy. How are you feeling?” Joel asked. Billy was lying down on the couch, looking exhausted.
“I’m feeling hot for some reason. I don’t know if it’s just me or that it’s really hot in here.” Billy said, breathlessly. He turned on the fan until the room temperature was beyond cold, almost at a freezing point.
“Are you having hot flashes or something?”
“I think so.”
“Do you want to go for a walk?”
“No. It’s pretty warm outside. It’s much cooler in here.”
“Okay,” Joel said, as he walked out of the living room. He decided to take a walk alone. He grabbed his coat, walked outside, and started to think about the baby. What would happen after the baby came? Well, for one, things wouldn’t be the same. But what about the band? Joel kept wondering about what would happen after Billy’s pregnancy was gone. He knew that nothing would be the same. Everybody would change, but people change anyway. As he got back to the house, it started to rain, so he opened the door, walked into the house, and saw Billy sleeping on the couch.
“Hey, babe, how are you feeling?” Joel said, waking up Billy.
“Huh? Oh, hi. I’m okay, I guess. I don’t know,” Billy said, sleepy. He turned over to face Joel and smiled weakly.
“Do you want to go out to eat tonight or something?”
“Yeah, that would be nice. Where were you thinking of eating?”
“It’s all up to you. You decide where we should eat tonight.”
“Umm… Taco Bell?”
“Tsounsounds good. Do you want to go now or later?”
“Maybe in an hour or so. I want to take a nap.”
“Okay.”
