>>Please read!
Okay, this is getting to be like crack...@_@ I never thought I'd enjoy writing a fic so much. XD Ano...As usual, make sure you've read chapter 01's disclaimer! Domo arigato. ^_^v
Enjoy, lovies.
Kyo got outside into the cool, crisp air, licking his licks over and over, savouring the flavor of Shinya. He couldn't help himself. As many times as he'd fanserviced, hell, as many times as he's been kissed, he'd never, ever tasted anything as sweet as Shinya. He had to stop before getting onto the bus, trying hard not to run back inside and kiss him again.
Not that Shinya would have minded. Although he, unlike Kyo, tried not to lick his lips, afraid he'd wash away the spicy, warm taste of Kyo. He closed his eyes and let the kiss replay in his head over and over. He was terrified that he would never get the opportunity to taste Kyo again. He wanted the feeling, the smell, all of it...to last forever. Shinya slowly stood and made his way toward the door, intent on going home, helpless against the spell in which Kyo had put him.
------------------
It had been almost two weeks since Kyo and Shinya had shared a kiss, though neither of them, since then, had been able to look each other in the eye. Neither of them said so much as a whole sentance to each other. Though, thankfully, no one else really noticed. Shinya felt cold and lonely, like he'd had this amazing one-night stand and then had never heard from his partner again. He watched Kyo move and act as though nothing had happened and he felt his heart sink. He was starting to regret letting his heart and hips get away from his head. Although it had been just a kiss, it was the sweetest thing Shinya had ever shared with another human being. He hadn't even meant to, but he poured a bit of his soul into Kyo's lips that day. He wanted to try it again, and pour his heart and soul into the kiss. Over the past two weeks, Shinya had done so much thinking that he'd go to bed with headaches. When he woke up the next morning, the first thing that came to his mind, rather than drumming, Miyu, or the usual thing, was Kyo's face. He'd even go so far as to cuddle and nuzzle his pillow, pretending it was Kyo's very smooth, sculpted chest. The thought of it made him smile dreamily.
Although, moments later, he was jerked awake as Die snapped his fingers a few centimeters from Shinya's nose and Shinya jerked back into reality. Blinking, he looked up at Die.
"Have a nice dream, bishounen?"
Shinya just smiled sheepishly. "Gomen nasai..."
"Shinya-kun, count us off."
"Ano..h-hai.........................nani song were we doing again?"
Kaoru frowned. "Pay attention, Shinya! We're doing Deity."
Shinya winced a little, "H-Hai, gomen nasai..." Shinya counted them off and rehearsal began.
------------------
Shinya stretched out after practice, frowning a little because of the bad day he'd been having. Just as he headed toward the door and was about to leave, he felt a hand on the small of his back. Surprised, he turned around and found himself, face-to-face, or well...close enough, with Kyo. Shinya blinked hard and looked away, his full lips forming a small pout.
"Shinya-chan--"
Shinya stared at Kyo a little, never having heard him call him that before.
"--Gomen nasai....I...I was wondering if maybe we could go out and...talk somewhere?"
"You mean like...to a resturant? Or someone's house?"
"Ano...maybe a resturant, but a private one, ne?"
Shinya looked down and voiced his thoughts, "Are you ashamed someone will catch us?"
"Iie! Kuso, Shinya-chan. Of course not! I just...want to be able to talk to you with out some damn, stupid, rabid fangirl coming and attacking one of us."
Shinya couldn't help but grin a little, though he quickly covered it with his hand and turned away.
"Hai," he started, "I know the perfect one. I'll take you there..."
Kyo allowed himself to be led by Shinya to a small, rather dark and dingy-looking resturant. He couldn't help but be surprised though because Shinya struck him more as the kind of person who'd go to a resturant with a dresscode. He looked around inside the dimly lit place, then looked at Shinya, unable to hide the confusion on his face.
Shinya had them seated, then he noticed the look on Kyo's face and smiled down at the floor shyly.
"I don't constantly enjoy getting dressed up just to eat, Kyo-kun."
"Eto.....hai. Gomen."
"Nn, don't be."
Kyo looked at Shinya, unsure how to start, though he was saved this time by a waiter coming by with water and a menu for them. After ordering drinks and taking time to look at the menu, Kyo couldn't keep his eyes off of Shinya. Even in a place so...normal, Shinya had a glow about him, as if he were some sort of angel sitting across from him. Shinya felt the weight of Kyo's stare and looked up at him. They both looked away awkwardly at the same time. Again Kyo was saved after a few minutes as the waiter came by, took their orders and menus and left them alone in strained silence. Kyo was growing tired of this feeling, so he sort of just blurted what he felt out.
"About me, Shinya...eto...about having sort of...ignored you, ne? I want to explain myself. It's not because I...y'know, didn't like what happened...demo, I..I wasn't entirely sure how you felt about....what happened and I wanted...ano...you to...come and talk to me about it. I'm not really the kind of person to be bold enough to ask someone out..." Kyo leaned back against the cushion that made up the booth they sat at and sighed. "I...I..." and then he muttered something that Shinya couldn't even hear leaning closer.
"Nanda? Gomen, I didn't catch that."
Kyo sighed, frowning. "I said I can't stand the rejection..."
Shinya stared at Kyo, almost angrily. "Doushite......Doushite would I ever, ever reject you?"
Kyo growled, "I don't know, okay?! It's just...I'm used to getting rejected and I thought, 'Great, one more thing that I wish could have worked out, but didn't.'"
"Then why did you bring it up to me today? Why didn't you go on acting like it never happened?"
Kyo winced at Shinya's rather uncharacteristically harsh words and shifted a little. "Because I saw the look on your face and the pain in your eyes and I couldn't let you feel like that anymore." Kyo glanced up at Shinya, who--to his surprise--was actually about to laugh. Kyo frowned and glared a little, feeling stupid now. "Nanda?!"
Shinya looked away, covering his grin with his hand and giggled a little. "It's just...I never knew you had such a sweet side.."
Kyo scowled and started to stand.
"Iie! Iie, gomen nasai! It's just...I-I really like it. And I'm happy you were..paying enough attention and cared enough to be concerned about how I felt." Shinya looked and happily saw that Kyo sank back down to his seat.
"I'm not good with things like this..." Kyo trailed off, looking like a lost little boy. Shinya's heart completely melted and he slowly reached over and patted Kyo's hand.
"You're doing a wonderful job, Kyo-kun. Just...don't be afraid, ne?"
Kyo grinned a little, "This is more freaky than going on stage for the first time..."
Shinya laughed, his whole face beaming. He couldn't believe how right this felt. He'd never been so happy to spend time with someone else before. He usually prefered to be in his room, alone with Miyu, reading or watching television or even watching people from his window. It was so different with Kyo, he felt comfortable, wanted and SO happy.
Kyo carefully slipped his fingers through Shinya's and laced them together, holding his hand. Shinya blushed a little and glanced at the vocalist.
"N-Nanda??"
Kyo smiled, almost gently and then grinned. "You got really quiet."
Shinya shrugged a little, smiling nervously. "So what else is new?"
It was Kyo's turn to laugh. "Hai, hai."
Shinya looked at his thin hand in Kyo's slightly smaller and thicker one and felt his heart flutter. He slowly turned their hands this way and that, loving how they looked together. Kyo watched, uncomfortably at first, then he slowly settled in, his hand relaxing in Shinya's. He couldn't help but be a little confused as dating was definitely unfamiliar territory for the smaller man. It wasn't a lie, he despised rejection and therefore avoided dating at all costs. But Shinya...Shinya was different. He wasn't complicated and annoying. He was just...Shinya. Sweet, gentle, shy, kind, loving Shinya. Kyo watched his beautiful face as Shinya watched their hands. Shinya looked up at Kyo, smiling and Kyo smiled back.
------------------
They'd stayed rather quiet during dinner, both having enjoyed more the fact that they were together, rather than trying to think of clever things to say to each other. Neither of them felt it necessary to break this aura around both of them that both made their hearts beat to the same tune, their eyes glance at each other and then look away, smiling. A few times it even made them both laugh enough so that a few of the other people eating stopped and looked at them. Neither of them cared, though. They were both way too happy together to even care about the rest of the world.
After dinner, Kyo and Shinya went outside into the cool night and looked at each other. Kyo sort of awkwardly turned to Shinya, his hands in his pockets.
"Eto...so...want me to walk you home?"
"That'd be very nice." Shinya smiled.
They walked down the street together, barely unable to take ahold of the other's hand, but with public displays of affection frowned upon by some more strict people, and the fact that they were two bandmates whom hadn't even told the other members that they were dating, they decided that for now, they'd walk more like friends down the street, rather than lovers.
It wasn't a far walk, as Shinya had come to this place often because it was close to his house and inexpensive. He kept looking down at Kyo, who kept his eyes forward. It began to make Shinya nervous and uncomfortable, the way Kyo avoided looking at him. Shinya let it go until they got to the walkway that led to Shinya's appartment, then he turned and looked down at Kyo, who still didn't look at him. Shinya felt his heart start to sink again and wondered if maybe everything that had happened in the small resturant was some figment of his overactive imagination. Finally, Kyo glanced at him, but looked away.
"Nanda..?"
"Gomen, I...it's just...I'm still a little nervous."
Shinya's body washed over with relief. He's just nervous...how kawaii... Shinya thought to himself, careful not to voice it.
"You don't need to be nervous around me, Kyo-kun. I won't ever hurt you."
"Hai, I know...demo...I just hope I can say the same thing."
Shinya's eyes grew wide, taken aback by Kyo's statement. What did that mean? Would he purposely go and hurt me if I ever did anything wrong...?
"I'm not a pretty person, Shinya-chan...I get mad, I make mistakes--"
"We all do!"
"I wasn't finished!" Kyo snapped at Shinya, making him look down. Kyo sighed and gently lifted Shinya's face. "Onegai, just listen, okay? I...I won't ever do anything to purposely hurt you, Shin-kun...demo...this is just strange to me and I get defensive when I get nervous and scared. It's why I keep getting quiet. I don't want to say something stupid and fuck it all up."
Shinya nodded, then tilted his head to the side a little, realizing that this was the first time, in a long time, that he'd heard the rather dirty-mouthed vocalist curse. It made him smile, knowing that Kyo was too happy to remember to curse. He even laughed a little.
"Is that funny to you?" Kyo glared, his cheeks a little red.
"Iie, iie. In fact, I'm relieved to hear you say it, demo..." Shinya laughed a little, "Demo, you just swore."
Kyo stared at Shinya like he'd grown another head, "So...? I always do."
"Iie! Actually, it's the first time you've sworn in front of me for a long, long time. At least to me, anyway."
Kyo looked down, sort of embarrassed, having just come upon the same thought as Shinya: he really was too happy to swear. He started to smile and Shinya gently put his thin hand on Kyo's shoulder.
Kyo shifted his weight, putting his hands in his pockets again, making Shinya smile affectionately at him.
"Eto...is this where I get to give you a kiss goodnight?"
"Hai..."
The two leaned together and shared a kiss even sweeter than the first time, as both of their feelings were poured into it. Shinya held Kyo's face in his hands, petting his cheek with his thumb. Kyo slowly took his hands out of his pockets and awkwardly put them on Shinya's hips and moved closer. Shinya was glad he wore something long that day, so Kyo couldn't see the goosebumps that covered his body as Kyo touched him there. Though the touch was innocent, Shinya's body took it as something much different.
Kyo was the first to break the kiss, grinning at Shinya darkly. It made Shinya excited and nervous and he took a small step back. "N-Nanda??"
"Even with your skirt on, Shinya-kun, it doesn't hide the fact that you're still a man. A man who gets aroused when I touch his hips." Kyo, having not taken his hands off of Shinya's hips, slid them down slowly so they touched his thighs. Shinya shuddered and backed away again.
"Nani? You don't like it?"
"Hai...I do...demo, it's too soon for...that."
Kyo's face sort of crumbled, as if he were told there was no Christmas this year. "Doushite...?"
Shinya couldn't help but laugh. "Because we've only started going out today!"
Kyo pouted and even frowned a little, letting his hands drop from Shinya's body.
Shinya took Kyo's pouting, beautiful face and held it so Kyo had to look up at him. "I promise, one day, you and I will make love and it will be beautiful..." He gently let go of Kyo's face and backed up toward the door of his appartment. "Until then, oyasumi nasai, Kyo-kun."
"Oyasumi nasai, Shin-chan..."
Shinya smiled gently at Kyo, who gave a small wave, and went into his appartment complex, his heart soaring.
