The Secrets Between us

Jason leaned back against the car unable to take in everything Ashley was telling him,he couldn't believe it not his sister.She was the most straight laced person he knew, he had teased her for years about her love life knowing that she was so shy when it came to things of the heart.He had watched as the men in Kellys life came broke her heart and left again.his little sister putting on a brave face about it making jokes but her non love life.He hoped whatever his sister was getting into now she knew exactly what she was doing.

"Jas how to we tell her we know?" Ashley was still in panic mode.

"We dont........i need time for this to settle...... i mean did they look like it was a usual part of their meeting.. or was this the first time."

"The both look liked they knew exactly what they were doing." Jason straightened himself up as he saw his sister approach them."ash we say nothing." Kelly by past them both slipping into the drivers seat not wanting to look any of them in the eyes.

"so kel whats up for tonight?" jason asked searching his sisters face for something that would explain things for him.Instead he saw nothing, her eyes were a blank expression.

"Home, dinner, shower and bed."Kelly said almost robotically causing Ashley and Jason to give each other questioning looks.







Kelly did just that, not wanting to start any conversations with both her roommates she simply asked to be left alone.She was currently laying on top of her bed letting her mind wander back, trying to make some sense of everything that had happened.It was still a confusing matter for Kelly meeting Carrie first time round had been so scary for Kelly the whole love at first sight thing had always made Kelly laugh but that night when she had met Carrie she knew she loved her.

Kelly was sitting watching the events fold infront of her,Clive had begged Kelly to come to his party saying she was his top star he wanted her there.Letting the world see his label was one big family.She had to laugh at that if this was his idea of family then he was more mixed up than Kelly thought.

"Kelly" Clive called her over " i want you to meet someone," It was then Kelly saw her, carrie underwood clive had been raving about her for weeks now.Telling kelly how good she was,Winning American Idol a few monthes before had made the young blonde a hit in the music industry.Clive was waving her name infront of Kelly almost in a taunting way,Clive hated kellys strong will.Showing her that Carrie was popular might just put Miss Clarkson in her place.Theses thoughts clive was having really didn't ring turn to kelly,He really didn't know kelly at all, she didn't have a jealous bone in her body she wanted carrie to get the best out of winning the show just like she did.She had never met the girl but she only wished the girl the best in anything she did.

"Hey Kelly," Carrie grabbed the smaller girl pulling her into a hug, and thats when it happened. the moment she felt the country girls body pressed against her own she knew she wanted her.

"Hi....." yep that was all she could say,Hi.She was wondering when she lost the skill to talk still in carries arms either not letting go clive cleared his throat making both girls pull back.

"Well i'll let you two idols chat, Carrie can tell you about the wonderful gift i bought her kelly." Clive slipped out of sight leaving Kelly to laugh at his attempts at making trouble.

"So he wants us to wrestle for his love or is it a sing off he wants"Kelly giggled at carries comments towards clive.

"I was hoping it was a dance off, ive been practising my moves for this party." Carrie laughed at Kellys attempts to dance to the boring music that was being played over the speakers.

"why dont we piss him off and get out of here Kel?" Kellys heart jumped at the shortening of her name.She felt Carrie's hand slip into her own somehow fitting perfectly with her own.She watched the smile fall from Clives face as he watched as they passed him hand and hand out of the party.



They ended up at a bar that night a small dirty looking place but it was enough for them.Carrie took over the conversation asking question after question, every now and then her hand slipping over the table to to stroke Kellys fingers before shyly pulling her hand away.Both giggling at their actions.Kelly could sense that Carrie felt something too it had only been two hours since they had first said hello but something was changing in both of them.

"Why does this feel like a date?" Carrie's question pulling kelly out of her thoughts. "I dont mean to assume something but it does doesn't it?"

"Ive not really been on many dates to know........ but whatever this is its ... nice" Kelly picked her words carefully.

"You dont look like the one night stand girl .....so that means you dont have time for love?" Kelly laughed at the no time for love comment, it was a common excuse to use in the music business. "Thats a shame." carrie reached for kelly's hand taking it in her own." ive been looking for a cute texan to fall in love with..... you sure you dont date?"Kelly closed her eyes feeling the warmth of Carrie's touch.

" i... i wouldn't say im too busy theses days"

"Its settled then." Carrie leaned over the table brushing her lips over Kellys cheek.letting her lips rest on the texans ear." I know you dont let just anyone kiss your lips" she whispered letting her lips brush over her ear."I'll work for the right to do that" kissing her cheek one more time carrie pulled back taking a sip of her drink laughing at kelly trying to hide her blush.

Kelly lay on her bed smiling at the memory, that was one of the happiest nights of her life she had finally found someone to love her.She trusted carrie from day one, how did it all fall apart so fast.It was something she would never understand why carrie had changed so much,she had became so bitter in their last few monthes together.Sitting up from her bed kelly couldn't let her mind wander down that lane again.She had to get out, she needed some comfort every if it was for one night and kelly knew exactly where to get it.

Carrie entered her apartment throwing her keys on the table her eyes following the trail down to her bedroom at the end of the aparment.What the....., why was her lights on,she had left this morning no lights being on. now she was back and her bedroom light was on.Tip toeing towards the door she aproached cautiously not knowing what she was going to meet.God she hoped it wasn't someone breaking in, maybe she should call the police.... she was at the door now.... ok carrie be brave she thought, pushing the door open coming face to face with the last person she thought she would see tonight
