Baby Can I Hold You

'I don't know what they want....they just asked for you or Carrie to call them.'



'Mom...social services call and you don't think to call my cell right away.....It could be something to do with Elle.' Kelly followed her mother around the kitchen as she cleaned.



'Kelly I told you everything the lady said.....'



'Kelly..stop worrying...lets just go upstairs and call her.' Carrie guided her girlfriend out of the kitchen and towards the stairs.



'We just got home.....It's like one thing after another.'Kelly complained as she stomped up the stairs. Carrie knew social services calling was never a good thing, Paul could be planning anything and Carrie wouldn't put it past him to try making Kelly out to be a bad mother.



'OK just stay calm and listen to whatever she has to say...don't get angry with her OK?' Carrie sat on the bed across from Kelly as she dialled the number for her. Carrie sat and listened while Kelly spoke to someone from social services, she listened carefully for Elle's name but heard nothing. Feeling Kelly's hand squeeze her own she looked up to see Kelly smiling at her before thanking the woman and hanging up.



''Well?.....What she say?'



'Jen called them......she wants to hand over guardian of the baby to us.......there's a lot of meetings we have to do first....they want to met us tomorrow.' Kelly sat smiling at Carrie.



'And you want to do this?' Carrie asked carefully.



'Why wouldn't we.....Carrie we can't turn him away......we're all he's got.'



'And he's another link to Paul.'



'So is Elle but we aren't getting rid of her' Kelly stood up and away from her girlfriend. ' Can you really turn him away?'



'I guess not.....but lets hear what our rights are first........ and Let's keep this between us first ok?' Kelly nodded as she felt Carrie pull her into a hug.



'I know his name' Kelly whispered into Carrie's shoulder.



'Who's?'



'The baby' Carrie pulled back to see Kelly's face.



'And' she pushed.



'Joseph'



'Joseph....sound's strong......i like it.' Carrie lay back on the bed as she felt Kelly straddle her legs.



'So two kids.......feeling ok with that.?'



'I think so.' Carrie ran her hands over Kelly's thighs. ' let's just hope no other exs come around with kids.'



'Mommy...'Carrie looked up to see Elle standing at the door.



'She knows every time we touch.' Carrie whispered.



'What's up baby?'



'This place is full of people.' Elle complained as she climbed up onto the bed and into Carrie's arms.



'They all annoying you?' Carrie asked.



'I just think we should have a family moment' Kelly couldnt help but laugh at her daughter.



'You do know all those people downstairs are family right?'



'Yea....but this is our real family.'Elle snuggled into Carrie more, Kelly saw how comfortable she looked and moved herself so she was snuggled into her other side.



'Feeling left out.' Carrie asked into her ear.



'Little bit'



'Don't worry mom.....mommy has a enough to share.' Elle lay smiling, the little girl loved seeing both woman being loving with each other.



'Yea im sure we can share. 'Kelly added.
