The Secrets Between us

Kelly made herself comfortable inside the dark booth taking a sip of her drink watching the crowd enjoy the music. She didn't know what brought her back here again it was like a magnet to her, drawing her in making her relive everything again. The lack of control she had over her emotions with Carrie was making Kelly feel weak, that deep ache she felt every time she let her mind wonder. She didn't even know when it was coming, could be laughing one minute then a memory comes and drags her back here. back to this bar this booth but now she could only come here alone. Living deep in her own memories no one to share them with, maybe if she told Ashley about Carrie they could talk work it out together instead Kelly lived with it alone. Replaying it all in her head.



"And you talk about my drinking" Carrie stood in front of Kelly eying the young Texan carefully.



"Least i know when to stop" God Kelly hated being mean, it seems like it was becoming very easy for her theses days. Carrie ignored the sharp tone in Kelly's voice. Instead slipping into the booth across from her both settling into an uncomfortable silence Carrie watched Kelly carefully Kelly looked everywhere but forward.



"No Ashley tonight?" Kelly could hear the jealously falling out of Carrie's mouth.



"We aren't joined at the hip"



"Could have fooled me" Kelly grabbed her bag to leave "No kel..... look sorry OK... sit down please." Kelly didn't know why she was staying it was only going to hurt her more. The silence came again both not knowing what to say to the other. Carrie was afraid to speak now scared in case Kelly took it the wrong way. Kelly not reallying knowing what to say to the girl in front of her, this wasn't her Carrie, her girl was caring and sweet the one in front of her now was full of so much anger it scared Kelly.



Carrie watched Kelly down another drink really wanting to join her but she didn't want Kelly judging her again, the looks she could give could kill Carrie. Instead she sat with her water sipping it slowly watching Kelly get more drunk with each glass.



"ready for the tour." Carrie was hoping work talk might bring Kelly out of herself.



"God yes" taking another gulp of her drink." its been so long since i was on stage doing my thing." Carrie sat back letting Kelly ramble on about the tour, what she was singing how she was singing it. Carrie nodded every once in a while letting Kelly know she was following her.

"Ive got it ash Ive got it" Jason came bounding into Ashley's room like a little boy on Christmas morning.



"You've got what jas"



"A way to get this Kelly Carrie thing out of the danger zone........" ash sat up waiting for him to continue "we hook her up" Jason stood proudly waiting for Ashley to praise him for his amazing plan.



"What the hells the matter with you"



"Wait what?"



"Jason don't you think ive tried the whole setting Kelly up on date things before?.............. come on jas i spend my high school days doing that"



"but but"



"No Jason .... no buts Kelly will never let anyone pick her men for her and who will we find to sweep kel off her feet."



"I was hoping you would know that one........ you know what she likes"



"mmmm i don't think i do..... not once have we had a talk about how she likes making out with girls" Jason screwed his face up wishing Ashley hadn't put that image into his head.



"oh ash i know the perfect guy" Jason jumped up and down on the spot.



"For you or for Kelly?" Jason ignored her last comment instead running out the door."im calling him now"



"whatever Jason......... i hope when you visit oz the wizard has a brain and courage for you....... your gonna need both when Kelly find out about this"



Ashley throw herself back onto her bed a little part of her hoping Jason idea works.

By now Kelly had attempted to drink the bar dry Carrie felt a little guilty for not stopping her sooner. At this moment in time they were both outside the club getting some much needed air.



"You want me to call someone kel...... you cant drive."



"Hey i know i cant.....stop swaying will you, your making me dizzy."



"kel im not swaying you are"



"Oh.... well hold me still then" Carrie didn't need to be asked twice about that wrapping her arm around the smaller girls waist she pulled her closer." i need to sit down car"



"Lets go back to the bar then"



"no no....... take me to your house" Kelly snuggled into carries shoulder letting the country girl hold her up. Carrie felt bad for what she was going to do, Kelly was clearly drunk and Carrie was taking advantage of her state to get close to her again. Leading the young singer across the road Carrie took the short trip back to her apartment
