A Tragic Affair

Okay, I know it's a little later than I wanted, but here's the story I mentioned when I ended Sleeping With Ghosts. Now I don't know which way I'm going yet as far as pairings, we'll have to see where my whims lead me. I am sorry I didn't get it up sooner but I left for Los Angeles and forgot I hadn't posted it. Which I'm pretty glad I didn't now because I got some reeeeeeeeeeeally good ideas from the MCR Halloween show. Also, I would like to mention I know the thing with Gerard will seem similar to what's going on in C. Allen's "I Am The Way..." (which I highly recommend you read) but it's different. I can't say how different without ruining the story. As it is... On with the intro.

Everyone knows the story of the Black Parade. Or at least the version My Chemical Romance came up with. I don't remember Gerard's exact words, but I do know the basic idea was that death comes to people in whatever form they choose, and that to the character they created, the Patient, it came in the form of a parade because his father took him to the city to see a parade when he was a little boy. If only that were true.

I now commit to paper and soon screen the true story of The Black Parade. What it does, how it can change people, and even destroy them. Those who have been my witnesses will know it's true, those who have not will insist it couldn't possibly happen. But keep your eyes open, your ears working and your mouth shut and you will know the truth. And that knowledge, I hope, will save your life and your soul. Without further adieu, the story.
